Great half-day trip from SLC to Antelope Island. Great views of the Great Salt Lake and local flora and fauna. Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
This was perhaps the best thing I have ever done in my life. Jack (our tour guide) was probably the smartest human I've ever encountered, and not in a condescending way. He knew about all the things we asked about plus more! He was so very attentive to the animals and us and just seemed so happy in his element on the island. There were a lot of opportunities to see animals from inside the VERY nice "van" or to get out and view them outside of the van. The hike (which we did at the end) was mildly difficult (probably a 3 out of 10) but worth the views!
The sunset tour was terrific! Lots of bison viewing and other animals. And we ended with a nice moderate hike to get our bodies moving and were awarded with a gorgeous sunset over the lake. Our guide, Travis, was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful.
Amazing tour with a rockstar tour guide - Blake!!! A tour not to miss while in Salt Lake City!! Active, historical, beautiful, and feel a bit smarter about this area!
Nice half day tour. Ann was great! Highly recommended. Saw several bison and other fauna. Once the lake returns to higher levels the tour would be even better.
Tour was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable about different things in Salt Lake City as well as the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island. We were lucky to see Bison, Antelope and the burrowing Owls. The van was very comfortable and it is a good idea to be prepared with: Snacks, suntan lotion, bug spray, and a hat. Wearing layers is good as it’s cooler in the morning and the afternoon sun can be tough. Definitely wear good sturdy sneakers especially if you are planning to hike the Buffalo Point portion of the trip. Its challenging however there are spots where you can stop if you don’t feel comfortable hiking the entire thing. Well worth the money and I can’t say enough about the guide, the content of the tour and the entire experience.
It was great to learn about the history, challenges & uses of lake. Chris was a great narrator & guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, considerate and funny. Antelope island also had a very interesting history. We stopped to take pictures of bison, safely. Later we stopped again to view what appeared to be 2 large herds. Time went by quickly. Glad we took the tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. You can’t control when and where you’ll see wildlife but we were pleased with what we saw. Travis was our tour guide and was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of Salt Lake. Couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
The tour was fun, David, the instructor was knowledgeable, gave us lots of tips for our stay in Salt Lake and we learned a lot from him. Super fun, interesting tour. Highly recommend!
We did the Sunset tour and it was a great experience. Our guide McKenna picked us on time from our hotel in a very comfortable sprinter vehicle and we made the drive to Antelope Island and Great Salt Lake. Along the way she told us about some of the points of interest. Once on the island, she took us to various spots which included places to see bison and pronghorns as well as great views from all different areas which included the ranch. We did a nice hike to a great vantage point and it ended with a great place to see the sunset. It was a very interesting and fun tour. McKenna was very knowledgeable and a fun person to be around for a few hours. We very much enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it.
