Description
L'île de Shikanoshima est une petite île accessible en seulement 30 minutes depuis le centre de Fukuoka. Le paysage urbain et le mode de vie de l'ancien village de pêcheurs ont été préservés. Elle a autrefois joué un rôle important en tant que plaque tournante du commerce maritime. Bon nombre des rituels célébrés au sanctuaire de Shikaumi, qui a joué un rôle important dans la culture et l'histoire de cette île, sont rares, même au Japon. Ces dernières années, cet endroit est devenu un lieu de prédilection pour les cyclistes de Fukuoka, car il permet de faire le tour de la côte. L'île tout entière fait partie du parc national de Genkai, où les visiteurs peuvent découvrir de magnifiques paysages naturels ainsi que le mode de vie et les traditions d'un village de pêcheurs.

Awesome experience. The shop attendants were very helpful and friendly. I would suggest coming in early in the day or later in the afternoon when the heat isnt as scorching.
I rented a bike from them, they're really nice and explained the route. They grew up on the island. The shop has some nice clothes as well, I bought a new pair of shorts.
We had a great time cycling with good quality cross bikes. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
I used it around 14:00 on weekdays. They taught me about the precautions of the cycle course and how to ride a bicycle, and I was able to leave immediately. I was able to circumnavigate the island in about two hours, making detours along the way. You can enjoy cycling without getting lost on almost a single road with good scenery. I enjoyed the staff's response with great peace of mind, and the building was stylish and beautiful! If you come to Shikanoshima, I highly recommend it!
Fab, fun day out! Loved it! The shikanoshima cycle guys were friendly and helpful and our family (3 adults and five kids) loved cycling around the island, stopping for local honey and a swim in the blue waters. Highly recommend!!!
