We had a fantastic day at Don Daniel’s. Our guide Tim picked us from the hotel, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the pastries and matas at the ranch and then met our horses. Had the most amazing riding experience starting with the views, the horses, the lunch asado cooked over a rustic fire with wine. We then started our descent back to the ranch it was such a fun day. Thanks Tim and Don Daniel
Thank you very much for your kind review. I am truly happy to hear that you had such a beautiful day in the mountains and enjoyed the full experience at Don Daniel’s ranch, from the ride to the asado and those incredible views. In our agency, we place a strong emphasis on working with guides who bring real added value through their knowledge, personality and ability to create genuine connections throughout the day. This is something we consider essential to the experience we offer. Thank you again for your trust, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Mendoza. Warm regards, Stéphane
Just a perfect day. Lucas, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the mountains, horses and even archaeology! Daniel, the gaucho, runs a very traditional place, which gives you a hint of life in the countryside; he and his family are welcoming and prepare all the meals during the day, from the tortas fritas for breakfast (delicious!) to the asado, which was just the best we had in Argentina! The horses are very tame, and of course the views are breathtaking. Last but not least, Stephane, from the agency, has been lovely and very helpful. Absolutely recommend!!
Dear Paola, Thank you so much for your lovely message! It truly made our day. We are delighted to hear that your Gaucho Day was such a memorable experience. Our team will be very happy to read your words, as will Daniel and his family, who put their heart into welcoming guests and sharing a way of life that is deeply rooted in the Argentine countryside. From homemade tortillas to a traditional asado, from gentle horses to wide open landscapes, this day is all about authenticity and connection, and we’re so glad you felt that spirit throughout your visit. It was also a real pleasure exchanging with you during the organization of the tour. Thank you for your trust and for your kindness from the very first contact. We hope Mendoza keeps a special place in your memories, and we would be more than happy to welcome you again in the future. Warm regards, Stéphane
This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Our guide Tim was incredibly cool and fun to spend time with. He taught us a ton about to the area and the nature we saw on the way. The food was amazing authentic and I would do this entire tour again in a heartbeat. I very very very highly recommend.
We learned a lot about the region thanks to our guide Agustin. He introduced us to the bodegas with anecdotes about their respective histories and their particularities. The day was great, we appreciated his humor and the happy atmosphere he was able to bring to the group. Excellent wines by the way!

Fantastic experience riding through the Andes. Would highly recommend as the staff is beyond friendly, brings lovely conversation, and, of course, teaches you about local culture. As for the riding itself, it was an unforgettable experience with beautiful views… plus, the asado was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Matthew, thank you very much for your comment!
The scenery was gorgeous and the horses easy to manage. That’s about all I can say that’s positive. Don Daniel would describe this ride as easy. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE INEXPERIENCED OR FEAR HEIGHTS! A few in our group were actually terrified on the way down. Also, the day was so disorganized. Upon arrival, we waited 90 minutes for our horses, with no explanation provided. The asado was pretty mediocre with inferior meat and wine. Our tour guide who spoke English pretty much ignored us. I’m sure there are much better riding experiences in Mendoza.
This was the most fun and memorable experience my husband and I did on my 30th birthday trip to Argentina! Matt was a great lead and Daniel really gave us an authentic encounter with the natural wonders of Gaucho and ranch life. We got to have a little breakfast and tea before we took off on our sweet horses, rode for a perfect amount of time through the mountains, stopped for lunch that Daniel prepared (an incredible array of steaks, veggies, and Malbec!), and then headed back to our hotel in Mendoza. We will remember this day forever. This is a must do if you are traveling to Mendoza!
Fantastic experience in the mountains. The ranch is in a beautiful location and the trek is amazing. The horses are extremely well-trained and it's easy to follow the trail. Tim was an excellent guide and Daniel cooks great asado!

A truly amazing experience - a friendly and knowledgeable guide (Matias), a thoughtful and well planned itinerary and an unbeatable visit to the beautiful mountains! This was worth every penny - a small group meaning that it felt intimate but big enough to make friends, and the horse ride into the mountains and back was beyond expectations. Then the food, some of the best food we’ve ever eaten cooked over a stone fire in the middle of nowhere. An absolute must do and would rate even higher if we could!
Thank you for your words! We are happy that you enjoyed the day and the essence of the gaucho. We hope to see you soon!
This was a great day in the fall on horseback in the Andes. The day starts with coffee and sopapillas, and Daniel and his crew do a great job. The scenery and views are spectacular, and lunch halfway in the ride is simple but delicious. Chori and beef cooked on a grill, wine, bread, and you can drink the water right out of the glacier-fed stream nearby. This is good for both experienced and novice riders.
