Vous vous promènerez dans l'un des plus beaux domaines d'Irlande, l'une des plus grandes maisons d'Irlande, avec un panorama à couper le souffle sur l'un des plus beaux jardins d'Europe, nommé 3ème meilleur jardin du monde par National Geographic. Situé sur 47 acres comprenant des jardins Italiens et Japonais, des statues, des lacs ornementaux et des promenades en divagation sur fond de montagne de pain de sucre de Wicklow. Il y aura également une chance de magasiner les célèbres écharpes et jets design Avoca et de prendre une tasse de café à leur marché gastronomique de charcuterie. Cette cascade est un chef-d’œuvre majestueux de la nature et une destination incontournable. L'eau plonge de façon spectaculaire d'une hauteur de 121 mètres, créant un spectacle fascinant et en faisant la plus haute cascade d'Irlande. Le lac Guinness, également connu sous le nom de Lough Tay, est au cœur des montagnes de Wicklow. The tour was perfectly planned so that it was seamless given us time to enjoy the experience with our family.
Our tour guide, Diana, was extremely knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. She picked us up at our hotel in the morning and dropped us back off later that afternoon without issue. A perfect way to see these beautiful spots. Excellent tour and lovely day in the country!
Diana is a great guide! Great knowledge of the history of the area, as well as of Powerscourt, the gardens and the waterfall. Delicious lunch at Johnnie Fox’s and a lovely, comfortable van! Definitely a must do if you are in Dublin.

Just finished our first day in Ireland, traveling with my grown son, for a private, day-long tour through the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough and the Powerscourt Water Falls and Estate Gardens. It was wonderful! Diana arrived on time, ready to inform and please. We’re from the US, so driving on the left side felt a bit uneasy at first, but Diana took us from busy city streets in Dublin to rolling tight roads in the Wicklow Mountains with safe and competent driving. She was a wealth of knowledge about the history and landscape of the mountains and the monastic sites we saw and had researched particular questions we had about the Glendalough mythology and history that we asked about in advance of our trip. She provided ample background and introduction at each site but also gave us space and time to unhurriedly explore and experience the areas on our own. The tour itself cost approximately $100/hour for the two of each, not including the nominal cost of admission to each of the two sites. I am able to easily and unconditionally recommend Diana and Gateway to Ireland if you are looking for a stress-free, beautiful experience of the Wicklow Mountains/Glendalough and Powerscourt Estate in Ireland.
