Description

Overall the tour was fantastic! Candace (Candy) was the best tour guide. If you get her you will learn a lot and have so much fun. Each of the sites were amazing. It was rushed which makes sense for how much you get to see of Cape Town. I did also find it a bit expensive but I would do the tour again.
Dear Awura, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are delighted to hear that you had a fantastic tour and that Candy made your experience so enjoyable. She will be thrilled to know that her knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly personality helped make your day memorable. We are also glad that you enjoyed the amazing sites and understand your comment about the tour feeling a little rushed, especially with so many beautiful places to see in Cape Town within one day. We truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding the price as well. It means a great deal to us that, despite this, you would choose to do the tour again. Thank you for choosing Cape Archives Tours, and we hope to welcome you back to Cape Town for another memorable experience in the future. Have safe travels. Best regards, Junior.
I had an amazing trip with Candace. She was very knowledgeable, engaging and made the experience really fun. My favourite part was being able to see the penguins, and do the Cape Hope Hike. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I recommend if you are short on time in Cape Town, doing this tour so you can see as much of Cape Town as possible.

It is a fantastic way to experience some of the highlights of the Cape Peninsula, especially when you have limited time in Cape Town. We truly appreciate your recommendation and will be sure to share your kind words with Candice. Thank you for choosing Cape Archives Tours and Safaris, and we hope to welcome you back to Cape Town again in the future. Have safe travels. Best regards, Junior.
Based on the tour description, we thought we would visit a number of different sites but we ended up skipping half of them. This was partly due to foggy weather so we wouldn't have been able to appreciate the ocean and beach views anyway. But we also thought there simply wasn't enough time to stop, even for brief opportunities to take in the views. And there was way too much time allocated for lunch that could have been used for touring. You should definitely take the boat ride to Seal island. The boat guides were very informative and we saw tons of fur seals and a variety of birds. We think this should be one of the included highlights of the tour, rather than an optional add-on. It wasn't expensive but the cost is NOT included in the tour. We were disappointed that we blew by some wildlife viewing areas but then stopped at an ostrich farm, where birds are raised for meat, eggs and feathers, to see captive rather than wild birds. The visit to the Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point was fabulous and we enjoyed a great hike to the point. You didn't have to hike, though; there was a bus available to take you there. For those of you who like funiculars, it was disappointingly out of order (this was not an important point to us). Boulder Beach and the penguins was super nice. I loved seeing so many penguins in one place but it was pretty touristy (as expected) and you were limited to a small space on a short boardwalk (no walk on the beach). I appreciate that this helps to protect the penguins from invasive humans but it did make it pretty crowded. Our tour guide was very friendly and accommodating but she did tend to ramble when she spoke so it was difficult to gain an appreciation of the history of the region. All in all, I think we would have been happier if we had rented a car and planned our own tour rather than taking this one.
Hello Cynthia Thank you for having travelled with us and also for writing us a review. We are glad that you enjoyed this tour despite fogy weather conditions. We hope to see you again in future Best regards
Everything was perfect in the excursion. I had Rodney as a guide and driver. The pick up was on time. We visited all the places and did not feel on a rush as in other tours. Rodney told as a lot of things about Southafrica, Bokap, the people, the Cape Hope. One important thing is that we could do the small trek around Cape Hope. I found our guide very kind, good driver, talkative. Totally recommendable excursion with this company.
Dear Libra, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that everything was perfect during your excursion and that you enjoyed exploring the Cape Peninsula at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. It is especially lovely to hear that Rodney shared so much information about South Africa, Bo-Kaap, the local people, and the Cape of Good Hope, while also making sure you had the opportunity to enjoy the short hike around Cape Point. We are pleased that his friendly personality, knowledge, and safe driving helped make your day even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and will be sure to share your kind words with Rodney. Thank you for choosing Cape Archives Tours and Safaris, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future! Best regards, Junior.
We had a good day. They informed us in plenty of time to the change of itinerary as the Cable Car up Table Mountain was closed for maintenance. The guide Candy was excellent and kept giving a good commentary of places passed, with Litha driving and getting us to stops on time. The tour was a good overview of the Cape peninsula and the penguins were cool!
Dear Jak, Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you had a good day exploring the Cape Peninsula and that you enjoyed seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach. We are especially pleased that you appreciated being informed well in advance about the Table Mountain Cableway closure and the resulting change to the itinerary. We always aim to keep our guests informed and make the necessary arrangements to ensure they still have a wonderful experience. It is wonderful to hear that Candy provided an engaging and informative commentary throughout the day, while Litha ensured a smooth and timely journey between all the stops. We will certainly share your kind words with both of them. Thank you for choosing Cape Archives Tours and Safaris. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back to Cape Town again in the future! Best regards, Junior

Dear Carmen, Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with Candy and Litha. It is wonderful to know that they made you feel comfortable and helped make your tour enjoyable. We will certainly share your lovely feedback with both Candy and Litha. Thank you for choosing Cape Archives Tours and Safaris, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future! Best regards, Junior.
Everything ran smoothly from a prompt pick up to being flexible with arrangements on the day. Table Mountain cable car was closed for maintenance and the optional additional boat trip from Houta Bay was fully booked in the morning but everything was done to ensure that we got on a boat in the afternoon. We were unable to approach Seal Island due to the rough sea but we got a good view of the coastline - some things are impossible to control! Candy was very knowledgeable, passed on a lot of information, kept us updated on the day’s plans and engaged well. Seeing wild penguins close up at Boulders Bay and taking in the views at Cape Point were definite highlights. And thanks to Litha for his driving and keeping us to schedule. We saw and learnt a lot more in the 9 hours than if we had driven ourselves!
Dear Stephen, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to hear that everything ran smoothly, from the prompt pickup to the flexibility shown throughout the day. We truly appreciate your understanding regarding the Table Mountain cable car maintenance and the rough sea conditions that prevented the boat from approaching Seal Island. As you rightly mentioned, some things are simply beyond our control, but we are always happy to find suitable alternatives whenever possible. We are glad that we were able to arrange the afternoon boat trip and that you still enjoyed wonderful views of the coastline. It is wonderful to hear that Candy kept you informed, shared her knowledge, and made the experience engaging, while Litha ensured a safe and well-organized journey throughout the day. We will certainly share your kind words with both of them. The wild penguins at Boulders Beach and the breathtaking views at Cape Point are certainly among the highlights of the Cape Peninsula, and we are pleased that you were able to experience them. We are especially happy that you felt you saw and learned much more with us than you would have by driving yourselves. Thank you once again for choosing Cape Archives Tours and Safaris. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Cape Town for another memorable experience in the future. Have safe travels. Best regards, Junior.
