C'est une nécropole de 3 sous-niveaux datant du 2e siècle de notre ère. Les catacombes fusionnent des aspects de la culture égyptienne, grecque et romaine dans ses traits.
Vous visiterez également le pilier de Pompée, l’une des plus grandes colonnes monolithiques jamais érigées; c'est un seul morceau de granit rouge d'Assouan.
Ensuite, rendez-vous dans l'amphithéâtre romain, un théâtre de marbre bien conservé pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 800 spectateurs. Autrefois, il était entouré de thermes romains, de villas avec galeries, de dalles de mosaïque et d’un jardin de loisir.
Continuez ensuite à visiter la bibliothèque d’Alexandrie, le nouveau bâtiment de la bibliothèque a été conçu par la maison norvégienne. C'est un élément remarquable du design moderne qui contraste avec l'architecture ancienne de l'Égypte. De plus, vous aurez du temps libre pour entrer dans la bibliothèque, mais un guide local vous montrera la bibliothèque à l'intérieur.
Enfin, vous explorerez la forteresse défensive de Qaitbay du 15ème siècle. Il est situé sur la côte de la mer Méditerranée et a été construit sur le site de l’ancien phare de Pharos. Ensuite, transfert à votre hôtel au Caire

From the planning to the trip itself, Khaled was professional and business-like. We were collected on time, the car was clean and comfortable, and the driver was calm and professional. Khaled was dressed in a suit, and handled every detail with aplomb. We visited the Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, the Citadel and the Aquarium. Khaled was knowledgeable about every attraction, and he speaks excellent English, so he was easy to understand. We went for lunch at Branzino which was the perfect ending to a wonderful day.
