This tour is a MUST no matter age, race or background. The level of service with Frank Doe Travel was OUTSTANDING from pickup to drop off. Frank and his staff are very professional and are very knowledgable. To visit Cape Coast is such an educational experience. Looking to visit again in the future with Frank Doe Travels of course.

Frank, my guide was great. The canopy walk is exhilarating, and the castles powerful and necessary for anyone coming to Ghana for the first time.
Thank you Anthony. It was wonderful traveling on this journey with you.

Amazing tour and guide! Frank was truly exceptional! His attention to detail was amazing and answering all my questions in the way! Gave us details of the country outside of the 3 locations. He truly has a passion for tourism!
Thank you for the review. We are glad you enjoyed your trip with us.
As an individual interested in history and evolution of humanity it was a great experience but a sad day indeed. Very moving being inside those dungeons and learning what life was like for the victims of this horrendous crime.
Thank you Arturo for taking time off to write us this review. The tours at the Castles are always sad but we need to learn from the past to make the future better.
We spent 5 days with Frank. He is a seasoned tour guide with flexibility. We did Elmira Castle, the coast, the national park, and more. He is very knowledgeable on all aspects of Ghana. The whole experience was excellent.
Thank you Greg for this review. We had an amazing time traveling with you and Dennis.
We were taken to the Karkum National Park Canopy Walk, a private tour of Elmina Castle and had lunch and some chill time at Coconut Grove Beach Resort. Nii Laaye hosted us throughout, Nii was uplifting and very informative throughout. We had a guide at the Canopy Walk and Elmina Castle, they added a lot of extra knowledge. Fred at Elmina was exceptional, one of the most knowledgeable and informative guides I’ve had anywhere where in the world. Fred is a brilliant communicator and helped us understand Elmina in manner entirely appropriate to the site and its grave history. The mix of the beautiful but challenging Canopy Walk with the compelling, brutal and barbaric history of Elmina Castle. Followed by good food and time to decompress at the beach, along with Nii’s uplifting approach, made for a great tour. One of the bests of done anywhere. Word of warning, the minibus driver is fast and very Ghanaian in style. It feels a bit scary to those not used to it.
Thank you George for this detailed review. We are glad you enjoyed this trip.
This is a MUST tour to understand Africa and African American history. Not only do you see the sights, but a personal tour guide. Frank Doe my tour guide was excellent. He gave really good history lessons, friendly and knowledgeable.
Thank you Kali for booking this experience with us and we are glad you enjoyed your trip. We hope to see you on our next trip.
I do not have enough positive words about my experience with our guide Nii. I will start by saying communication was top notch. I received a phone call, email, and text confirmation for our trip. Pick up was stress free and early. The van was comfortable and had great air conditioning. Nii was knowledgeable and friendly and curated a beautiful day for us to learn all about our locations. Book this company for your day adventures you will be well taken care off and you will learn about this beautiful country, its history and the deep scare of the transatlantic slave trade.
Thank you Jennifer. We are happy we have been able to meet your expectations. Thank you for choosing us for this tour.
