Après la prise en charge à votre hébergement au Cap, nous nous rendrons à la passerelle Nelson Mandela vers Robben Island, située dans le quartier de Clocktower au bord de l'eau. Nous vous demandons de bien vouloir attendre dans le hall de l'hôtel votre prise en charge. La prise en charge à l'hôtel commence 1 heure avant le début de la visite.
À notre arrivée au Waterfront, nous nous arrêterons au Cape Diamond Museum, situé dans la porte d'entrée du Robben Island Clocktower Centre. Ici, vous découvrirez l'histoire vieille de 3 milliards d'années, de la formation du diamant à la pierre polie finale. Explorez les origines de l'industrie du diamant en Afrique du Sud avec une introduction à certains des grands noms de l'histoire du diamant, comme Cecil John Rhodes, Barney Barnato et la famille Oppenheimer. Le Cape Town Diamond Museum rend également hommage aux diamants sud-africains les plus célèbres, tels que le diamant brut Cullinan de 3 106 carats. Ce diamant a été découvert en 1905 et présente des spécimens de roche kimberlitique, datant de milliards d'années. Des répliques grandeur nature des célèbres diamants portés par la royauté, les riches et les célèbres sont également exposés. Veuillez noter que les visiteurs auront la possibilité d'acheter des bijoux exquis auprès des joailliers Shimansky qui sont adjacents au musée du diamant du cap. Cependant, les visiteurs n'ont aucune obligation de faire des achats de bijoux.
À votre arrivée à la passerelle Nelson Mandela vers Robben Island, vous éviterez la file d'attente et vous dirigerez directement vers la ligne de départ des bateaux. À votre arrivée à la jetée de Robben Island, vous débarquerez du bateau et serez guidé dans un bus par un guide touristique résident de Robben Island pour une visite de l'île. Le guide fournira des commentaires en direct sur Robben Island et son histoire. La visite se terminera par une vue sur la cellule de la prison où l'ancien président Nelson Mandela a été détenu en tant que prisonnier et une occasion de marcher sur ses traces historiques lors de la longue marche vers la liberté. Ensuite, vous retournerez à la jetée où vous affréterez le bateau pour votre voyage de retour au V&A Waterfront.
Veuillez rencontrer votre guide / chauffeur à l'entrée de la passerelle Nelson Mandela vers Robben Island pour votre transfert de retour à votre hôtel. Si vous n'avez pas besoin de transfert aller-retour, veuillez en informer votre guide/chauffeur le matin lorsqu'il viendra vous chercher.

SCAM!!!! I got to the Robbin Island ferry and they told me Beyond Africa Safaris & Tours didn't pay for my ticket third party so I had to re-buy my tickets and could not go to the Diamond Museum.

We have acknowledged your concerns however we do want to bring to your attention that we were at your hotel for pick up and waited for 3 hours and you did not show. We then messaged you and also tried to contact you via the Viator platform with no response from you. We even went further to call the number you provided and it went to voicemail. The hotel that you added for pick-up confirmed that you were not on their system. With regards to Robben Island, we did have technical issues with our ticketing system however all clients were allowed on the ferry. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused however we did try our best to make this tour happen. We wish you all the best with your future travels.
This was the worst experience we ever had with a tour operator. They canceled the tour, then said it was on and they would give us a pickup time. Several communication attempts with them and no pickup time until finally at 11:04PM (after we were asleep) a text arrived that they would pick up at 8:00AM the next morning- even though we booked for 10:00AM. Did not see the text until the tour guide woke us up the next morning at 8:00 AM. Do not ever use this company again! No apologies given and no credit given for our inconvenience and wasted time. The contracted tour guide who drove us (Marshall) was very nice but he showed us that he was never given our contact number until 8:20 that morning so he was not able to contact us in advance. Viator and Trip Advisor should never allow any of its customers to go through this experience.

On behalf of the entire team, kindly accept our apology. We are glad to hear that Marshall was a great host and that the tour took place. We understand that you booked the tickets for 10:00 am for the 11H00 boat trip. However due to high volumes of travellers during the festive season the tickets at Robben Island become a big issue as they are in high demand. We chose that boat slot as we got a hint that there was a possibility to cancel the 11H00 boat by Robben Island and we did not want our clients to miss this experience. Excellent day out, must do on a trip to cape town. Enjoyable boat trip out to the island, great views of cape town. The tour itself was very informative, the guides were helpful and funny. Quite moving seeing nelsons prison cell and hearing all about his captured life.

This is a great tour. All the details are taken care of for you. Ray our excellent tour guide contacted us the night before and told us what we needed to have to go to Ruben Island as well as what time he would pick us up. Ray gave us an overview of Cape Towno. The way to the dock. The ferry ride was a bit choppy but very happy that it went. A bus tour of the island occurs first and that gives you an overview of the facility. AN ex-inmate then give you a tour of the prison in detail and that is excellent. His personal experiences makes it rich. You get the sense of what it was like to be there as well as a history of the movement to end apartheid. Ray met us after the ferry took us back and we did the Shaminky Diamond tour. It is the history of diamonds and gold i South Africa. The showroom is open afterwards for business. They have wonderful pieces. Ray very generously took us to Table Mountain which was not on the itinerary and went to the top with us and give us an overview of what we were looking at. Thanks Ray- much appreciated. A wonderful day was had and made easier by a friendly, easy going guide.

Thank you Kabura Travel Team for organizing our Robben Island Tickets when we could not get them directly as they were sold out online. We enjoyed and learnt alot at Shimasky Diamond museum about South Africa Mining and precious stones. The trip to the Mandela prison was great. Pick up at our hotel was prompt. Thank you to our guide Ibby who had a great general understanding of the complete logistics for the tour. we arrived to the gateway on time to be cheked in correctly and even enjoy the educational video offerd to us by the robben island team.
