Voici un itinéraire flexible pour maximiser votre aventure : Temple d'Artémis : commencez votre voyage par le temple d'Artémis, dédié à la déesse de la chasse, et admirez ses imposantes colonnes et ses détails complexes. Oval Plaza : Entrez au cœur de Jerash sur l'Oval Plaza, autrefois un marché animé et plein de vie. Imaginez des courses de chars et des concours de gladiateurs. Cardo Maximus : Promenez-vous le long de l'ancienne Cardo Maximus, la principale artère nord-sud de Jerash, bordée de colonnades et de boutiques. Ressentez le poids de l’histoire sous vos pieds. Temple de Zeus : montez les marches jusqu'à l'imposant temple de Zeus, le plus grand sanctuaire de Jerash, dédié au roi des dieux. Laissez-vous émerveiller par sa grandeur. Après-midi:

C'est votre grande entrée dans la ville antique. Une passerelle monumentale à trois arches construite pour commémorer la visite de l'empereur romain Hadrien en 129 de notre ère.
Une caractéristique unique et emblématique de Jerash. Cette énorme place publique de forme ovale est entourée d'une colonnade de colonnes ioniques. C'était le cœur social et commercial de la ville.
C'est la principale rue à colonnades qui traverse la ville. Vous pouvez marcher le long de ses pavés d'origine, qui montrent encore les ornières portées par les anciennes roues de char.
Un théâtre romain magnifiquement conservé avec une acoustique incroyable. Avec une capacité de plus de 3 000 places, il est encore utilisé aujourd'hui pour des spectacles et est un temps fort du festival annuel de Jerash.
Situé au sommet d'une colline surplombant l'esplanade ovale et le théâtre sud, le temple de Zeus était un centre religieux majeur. Bien qu'une grande partie soit en ruines, son ampleur et sa vue imprenable sur la ville sont impressionnantes.
Dédié à la déesse patronne de la ville, c'est l'un des temples les plus essentiels et les plus grandioses de Jérash. Ses colonnes corinthiennes flambantes et son envergure impressionnante témoignent de la prospérité de la ville.

This site was very large and on the day very hot so be prepared hats and water Flat walk but plenty of it

I had Khalid Najjar as my driver for this booking. He shared a lot about the history of Amman and had great recommendations for places to see in the area I was staying in. He organized the pick up, drop off, entry ticket (included in package), and a tour guide smoothly. The tour of Jerash itself was about an hour and a half and my guide talked about the history of the site, ongoing archeological efforts, and about the surrounding city. Would definitely recommend going!
