Ayutthaya au coucher du soleil est une agréable excursion en vélo de 3 à 4 heures qui permet aux participants d'admirer les vestiges illuminés des temples après le coucher du soleil, une expérience unique ! Tous les temples semblent encore plus magiques de nuit et cette incroyable aventure en vélo offre aux participants un regard très différent des temples en ruine. C'est l'endroit où nous commençons et finissons nos visites. Après avoir sélectionné les vélos appropriés et ajusté le siège, nous vous donnerons des instructions et un casque de vélo (si vous préférez), et c'est parti.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (thaïlandais: "Temple du Sacré, Splendid Omniscient") était le temple le plus sacré sur le site de l'ancien palais royal de l'ancienne capitale d'Ayutthaya, en Thaïlande, jusqu'à la destruction complète de la ville le birman en 1767. C'était le temple le plus grand et le plus beau de la capitale et il servit de modèle pour Wat Phra Kaew à Bangkok.
Wat Mahathat, «le temple de la grande relique» était l'un des temples les plus importants du royaume d'Ayutthaya. Situé sur l’île historique, le grand monastère se compose d’un vaste prang central, d’un très grand viharn principal et ubosot et d’un grand nombre de filiales chedis et viharns. La partie supérieure de son prang central, autrefois si massif, s'est effondrée. Aujourd'hui, il ne reste que la base. Un des objets les plus photographiés du temple est la tête d’une image de Bouddha en pierre enlacée dans les racines d’un arbre.
Wat Lokaya Sutha est une ruine de temple massive. Il est aligné vers un axe est / ouest. Le monastère a été lourdement restauré, notamment en carrelage et en briques. La plupart du temple existe seulement au niveau de base de base. Cela inclut quelques bouts de piliers et des murs de base. À l'entrée est se trouvent les restes de trois vihans. Derrière ces halls de sermons se trouve un grand prang de style khmer de 30 mètres de haut, datant de la fin d'Ayutthaya. Cette tour-prang a une entrée creuse sur son côté est. Les restes d'un ubsot peuvent être vus derrière le prang. Seule la couche de base de base a survécu, mais il y a beaucoup de pierres semi-sèches et de détritus d'images de Bouddha. Un grand clocher se dresse au coin sud-ouest de cet ubosot. Le point culminant de ce temple est son énorme image de Bouddha inclinable (37 mètres de long et 8 mètres de haut), située derrière l’ubosot.
Ayuthaya est célèbre pour ses collations sucrées musulmanes, ses currys et son nám prík (trempette épicée). Le marché couvert très animé de Chao Phrom est l'endroit idéal pour les trouver, ainsi que des plats thaï-chinois et d'autres plats musulmans. Les heures d’opération de ce marché de jour dépendent des fournisseurs individuels, mais il est à son maximum en début d’après-midi.

You drive a lot along the highway where cars rush by. There was only 1 guide. She was leading the way and didn't look back. Sometimes I stayed a bit behind and hoped to catch up again. She had a bike with a lot of gears. I asked if it could be slowed down, but we were in a hurry. (It was 32 degrees though) All in all I thought it was irresponsible and irresponsible. Glad I wasn't with my son. The guide was nice but rode ahead and didn't see if we followed.

We willen u erop wijzen dat uw groep uit slechts vijf deelnemers bestond. Om een persoonlijke ervaring te waarborgen, hebben we ervoor gekozen om met één gids te werken, wat voor een kleinere groep als de uwe normaal gesproken voldoende is. Het is echter belangrijk om te horen dat dit niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Wat betreft het tempo en de communicatie met de gids, begrijpen we dat dit voor u een punt van frustratie was. We zullen deze feedback zeker bespreken met ons team, zodat we de aandacht en het tempo van onze gidsen kunnen verbeteren. Voor toekomstige deelnemers die een aangepast tempo wensen, raden we aan om een privé tour te overwegen, zodat er meer ruimte is om in te spelen op persoonlijke wensen. We had a wonderful evening on this tour. Our lovely guide Bella took us safely around the town visiting many sites at night. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed us a great time. It was so nice being abke to see the Wats when it was quiet. The cycling was easy and the meal at the end was great. Fantastic night with Bella.

We had an amazing time cycling through town with Bella! The office where you meet up is a little bit out of the way but you can get there easily by Grab or tuk tuk (or motorbike if you have one). Once we arrived we were greeted by Bella and it turned out we were the only ones who booked that night, so it turned into a private cycling tour. We first took the ferry across the river which was really cool and cycled around until we arrived at Wat Mahathat, we then continued on for a stroll around the night market and tasted a few local snacks/appetisers which were all great! After this we continued Wat Phra Ram and Wat Phra Si Sanphet before we stopped at a very local spot for dinner. Bella ordered a hunch of dishes for us to try and all of them were very delicious and we had never tried before. We were also the only foreigners in this place which tells you how local it was, we absolutely loved this! After dinner we finished the tour by cycling back to the office. All in all this was an amazing experience and a huge thanks to Bella for making this tour so enjoyable. Just be aware that since this is in the evening the Wats will be closed so you'll enjoy them from outside the grounds, which is still very impressive. Highly recommended doing this tour to give you a different perspective of the city at night.

The bikes were in great condition. Our guide was really knowledgeable and personable. We saw some amazing sites, and a particular highlight was standing at the top of one of the temples, as the sunset, as the bats were flying out of the temple en masse! Just stunning!
