Castle Valley est l’affiche des paysages occidentaux, et vous l’avez probablement déjà vu quelque part dans un film de John Wayne, une émission de télévision ou une publicité ou deux. Et si d’une manière ou d’une autre vous n’avez jamais vu Castle Valley auparavant, vous ne l’oublierez pas une fois que vous l’aurez fait ! Ce tronçon serein du fleuve Colorado traverse une grande belle vallée bordée de monuments. Le long du chemin se trouvent certaines des caractéristiques géologiques les plus impressionnantes de l'Utah comme Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, le prêtre et les religieuses, et plus encore. Quant aux eaux qui bordent le Colorado, elles restent plutôt chaudes de la fin du printemps au début de l'automne. Vous passerez 2 heures à flotter, avec quelques rapides de classe II pour vous rafraîchir en cours de route. Attendez-vous à plein d'interprétations fascinantes et d'histoires amusantes de la part de votre Guide fluvial lors de ce doux voyage!

We really enjoyed our rafting trip. Even the drive to and from the put-in and take-out spots was fun. If I ever get back to Moab I will 100% be doing the full-day tour with them.

Our guide, Avery, was excellent! She was helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable as she told us a lot of interesting things during our ride. We enjoyed our river ride. It was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful. The tour company was good, but we feel there were things which we wish we knew about beforehand. It took a long time for everyone to get ready and board the busses before we left. Once there, it took quite a while to board the canoes and get on the river. The ride itself was about 1-1/2 hours, but the logistics of getting ready, traveling to the drop off site and coming back to the starting point took a lot of time. A lot of waiting in the heat. We didn't get back until around 1:30. The total time was more than a half day. Know this if you are planning activities later in the day. If you dont like waiting around, best to find a tour company that takes smaller groups.

Avery was our guide for the morning and an excellent one! She pointed out wildlife and fauna along the way and talked to each person on the raft. She truly enjoyed her job and made sure all of us enjoyed ourselves too. She took a few breaks for anyone who wanted to cool off and swim in the river. She was aware of her surroundings and knew how fast the river was moving at all times. Avery was very friendly and knowledgeable and we felt very safe under her expertise! Would definitely recommend this family activity when visiting Moab.
