I had a great day! The tour itself is only a few hours, but when you factor in travel to/from ypur hotel with multiple stops that time does add up - something to be aware about if youre making plans for afterwards. The park wasn't too busy on the day I was there which really helped the experience and I think we were given enough time at each spor. The boat ride was amazing & the park itself is just stunning. The bat cave was great too. We managed to see a lot of wildlife while in the park. Lunch was basic but fine, there are other options for lunch at an additional cost which I didn't try so not sure how good their other food was.
Our driver was surly & forced us to walk outside the Langkawi Port parking lot past the Guard Post. His location was very unclear since all other Private Tour pick ups were happening at the entrance to parking lot closest to end of hotel pier walking path. There was plenty of parking space. This caused a lot of confusion on our part because we did not see our driver, & he did not have a sign with our name or name of XQ Holidays or Viator. We eventually contacted XQ Holidays who provided driver's location & license plate number. His English was poor, when he spoke at all. The van was old, dirty, & didn't have enough working seat belts or effective air con. We were stifling hot stuck in very back of van. It was not clear where we would meet him at end of tour. Tour itself was fun--except bat cave. Boat captains didn't help with boarding or exiting boat, which was challenging. The ride itself was fun & so was viewing of eagles. The beach was not fun, since most folks had wrong clothes. Lunch was poor. Guide Sara was great!
Very good 7- hour tour in the geoforest park in the Langkawi island. A "must" for every visitor of Langkawi.
Great trip and highly recommended. Loved going in the caves, seeing the monkeys close up Very rough on the sea - we loved it but the young and elderly would find it tricky. Brilliant value.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, spoke English fluently and went the extra mile to try and chum the water so that I could snorkel even though the visibility was poor that day.
If somebody participated in simiair tours in som other country this tour has nothing to offer for a 2-3 hours excursion.Nohing special even less iteresting as in other countries!
We had a wonderful day today. Special compliments go to our tour guide Scha (nickname). He organized everything perfectly! We saw monkeys, snakes, lots of fish and even dolphins at the end. From our hotel the Four Seasons it is just 5 min to the mangrove tour. Scha even drove us back personally by boat and I was allowed to steer the boat to the hotel. The tour is therefore really cheap and we got extremely much for a few gels ! Thanks for the great day ! Carina and Julian
A spectacular tour that is worth a lot for those who are installed on one of the beaches on the west coast of the island. It allows you to explore the Geopark and visit other beaches in other parts of the island. Climate conditions may vary, but if allowed, it is possible to discover and dive into other beaches.
Very good experience, professionalism, I highly recommend, to repeat times and times, a nice trip in a splendid nature, sea, mountains, beautiful sky, rain and sun
An awesome day. Be warned, it goes much longer than the time advertised. (We had to come back early because of another tour eveb thought we planned a two hour gao between activities. The page advertises 4 hours, it was closer to six for us. Definitely not a bad thing but good to keep in mind for planning.) We booked a shared tour and managed to go to some cool bat caves, monkeys, fish farm and swim on a mostly secluded beach at the end. The tour was varied, allowing you to experience many different things. The staff were awesome and helpful, even taking us back a little early while everyone else was having lunch so we wouldn't miss our next activity. Very friendly. The only thing I would advise anyone thinking of booking: go for the private tour. We went on a shared tour with three full boats which mostly worked fine, but some sections like the bat caves are a bit too crowded.
