Al Khor est une ville côtière du nord du Qatar, située à 50 kilomètres au nord de Doha, la capitale. Considéré comme l'une des plus grandes villes du Qatar. Al Khor compte de nombreux employés de l'industrie pétrolière en raison de sa proximité avec les champs de pétrole et de gaz naturel du nord du Qatar et de la ville industrielle de Ras Laffan. C'est l'un des sites proposés pour la Coupe du Monde Qatar 2022.
L'île pourpre, également connue sous le nom d'île d'Al Khor, est un bel endroit à Al Khor, à environ une heure de route de Doha. C'est une petite île, reliée au continent par un chemin étroit qui est interrompu en différents points pour permettre à l'eau de s'écouler vers la forêt de mangrove.
Al Thakhira est une ville située sur la côte de la municipalité d'Al Khor au Qatar, à environ 7 km au nord-est de la ville d'Al Khor et à 60 km de la capitale Doha. Il est étroitement lié à Al Khor City, tous deux fondés par la tribu Al Muhannadi. Comme d’autres établissements côtiers de la région, ses habitants n’avaient historiquement recours qu’à la perliculture et à la pêche pour leur subsistance.
Al zubara, également connu sous le nom de Fort Zubara (h), est une forteresse militaire qatarienne construite sous la surveillance du cheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani en 1938.

It's a great time to see the real side of the country.
Excellent trip. Our driver and tour guide Junaidd was courteous and respectful. I was travelling with my elderly Mother and niece and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. Enjoyed this experience immensely and would highly recommend! Thank you Junaidd!
Great trip to see Qatar! Javid took us to three sites ( a fishing area/market for processing fresh fish, a mangrove swamp and purple island and then the Al Zubarah fortress replica) . This provides a fairly thorough coverage of the key attractions of Qatar that are not in Doha. He also provided us with chilled water bottles during the trip and took great pictures of us at different locations!

Great North Qatar tour, visiting the fish market, mangroves and the old fort. Junaidd was a brilliant guide, punctual, informative and very cheerful. Recommended.
Our guide Junaid was great, we got to know much more about Qatar and its life and history. Tour itself was also nice, with Mangrove forest as a highlight. Rest of the places (fish market and fortress) were nothing that special but stilll worth to visit if you are already here.
We had an outstanding experience going with this tour. Our guide/driver Junaid was friendly, punctual, and very knowledgeable on the culture and history of Qatar. The selection of sights of interest was also great to fit in half a day.
