As a lifelong equestrian, this is the only place in this area that I feel good about "riding horses on the beach." They are clearly healthy and very well cared for. The tack is decent and well fitted. It's a sanctuary for burros and turtles. The staff are volunteers. They are fantastic. I was the only person who signed up and they did not cancel. I basically had a private tour.
I wanted to do the ATV and horseback riding combo with my siblings at this place advertised as 'eco-friendly,' recommended by a Spanish guide. The place is managed exclusively by volunteers, which seemed a bit strange to me from the start... We were welcomed very well and the explanations were quite clear, but when we asked about the supposed national park/protected area that required a payment of 20 USD per person, the answers did not convince me at all and the volunteers seemed clearly uncomfortable. After researching on our own, it turns out that this protected area DOES NOT EXIST! It is clearly a scam by the company to make an extra profit (unfortunately very common in Mexico and Latin America). We started with the horseback riding activity. The animals seemed exhausted and in pain. Talking with the guides, we learned that the horses had done three shifts that day, under the sun! For being an 'animal-friendly' ranch, this seems more like animal exploitation... Perhaps it would be worth considering reducing the workload of these poor animals or increasing the number of horses so they can rotate more. That said, the ride was beautiful and, once again, the guides were charming. Then we moved on to the ATV activity through the nature of Baja California... or rather through the 'dump' of Los Cabos. Seriously, we were surrounded by trash everywhere, which makes you wonder what exactly those 20 USD for entry to the desert are for, supposedly to protect the area. And let's not even talk about the condition of the quads, which were terrible... (Another case of saving on maintenance? Are they also asking volunteers to be mechanics?) The experience could have been great, and it is clear that the guys who work there really try hard, but there is nothing eco-friendly here; it is just a money-making machine.
The tour guides were super nice and educational! One of the best tours I’ve done so far. The horses were very well kept and atv was fun
The guides were awesome. I got lucky and no one had booked. So I got to spend more time. The scenery was beautiful. The guides are really nice and accommodating.
This is not just an ATV and horseback riding adventure. It is a donkey rescue and turtle egg rescue sanctuary. The views are beautiful and the staff are so friendly. Not only is it a blast you know you are helping with the cause. A win win in my opinion
Guides were very friendly and personable and our comfort and safety were their #1 priority. Pick up at our hotel was on time. Horses were in very good condition - clearly taken care of and not overworked. Riding on the beach was so much fun.
It was a great time ! Our tour guides definitely exceeded expectations. :) if you want a fun and beautiful then you’ll book with this group ! Nothing but great vibes and really nice people.
Did not experience the excursion, my appointment was rescheduled, so i had to cancel due to conflict with another appointment. Still waiting on refund
