Excursion au Centre des girafes à partir de Nairobi

Description

It was an informative and an amazing experience. My whole family just loved it! Well worth the $50 fee. It was a little crowded because it was on a Sunday. But the crowd was cooperative as well as the giraffes!
A great experience with Edwin. Our flight was delayed and they took care to accommodate our travel based on the flights. The experience was very knowledgeable and great.
Excellent way to get up close and feed the beautiful giraffes. Great alternative to staying at Giraffe Manor if time or money are restraints.
Pickup was on time and we arrived early. The giraffe center is a very good experience overall but our guide moved us along quicker than we liked and we were back at the van in under an hour without having taken the included “1 hour nature walk”. After bringing that up he turned around and we did do the walk, which lasted 1/2 hour but that was sufficient.
Experience to last 3 hours... which actually lasted 45min. We spent more time in transport than in the center. The guide seemed particularly eager to leave, constantly urging us without explaining the course of the excursion. Paying $65 per person (for a $12 entry fee) is just a scam. The center itself is not exceptional either: little to see/do. You understand, we definitely do not recommend this excursion.
greetings, we sincerely don't understand your dissatisfaction on this tour. with regards
I got the ticket thought this web services. The outside vendor (3rd party) never replay to me about Hotel arrangements for pick up, with here say the is include in the services. We did change Hotel locations due the social demonstrations in Nairobi ( July, 2025) and I send emails and text messages to the 3rd party multiple times, but never get the reply. So, I hired an other driver services. A person, show up at the door of the Giraffe Center with the 09 tickets for let us go in, but the transportation services was not provide the all. The person told me - sorry for the miss communications, but truly never replay my emails or phone on time in June and even a week before. Overall the giraffe center is a nice place to lunch a the trip in Kenya, specially with the time zone change, is easy, cute and fun! My first two visits where on 2014 and 2023; and this place always improved and grow in positive ways! I witness a baby Giraffe this year! Works well visit at 9 am before everyone show up. Also, next door is a nice hike loop to stretch your legs, ask to the ranger at the entrance.
Very well maintained complex. The giraffes literally eat out of your hand. There is wifi and a merchandise shop.
What a lovely place to see giraffes up close. Great programme of breeding and releasing back into the National nature reserves, increasing the population of Giraffes that were close to extinction. Started by rescuing abandoned Giraffes (older ones still there) that were reared and cannot be released back into the wild. Feeding the giraffes is an experience you wouldn't normally get, but please note it's not their natural food and is like candy to them otherwise they wouldn't come, however this is doing them no harm at all. All the giraffes look extremely well cared for and their enclosure is extremely large if they didn't want the candy or be seen by visitors they have plenty of space to avoid you. You can see Giraffe Manor through the trees without the $$$$ 🤑 needed to stay there and you still get the exposure to the giraffes to feed them as you would if you stayed. The staff are brilliant really friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy. Listen to the staff when you visit this is usually for your safety as another visitor found out as the giraffe went in for a love head butt 🤣🤣. Would recommend a visit to the giraffe centre, especially if you have a limited stay or stop over in Nairobi. Booked through Expedia - picked up on time from hotel and they do offer pick up and drop off to airport if you are really short of time. With travel to and return from the centre about 3 - 4 hrs recommended time frame to give yourself.
We had a brilliant time at the Giraffe Centre. Our guide, Edwin, had great knowledge of the centre and the giraffes. He was able to talk us through the history and gave us tips when feeding. We thought the centre was really well run and kept.
It was a phenomenal experience to learn about and interact with the giraffes. Our tour guide was amazing. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Nairobi.
