Itinéraire
Etape 1 : Le circuit débute par la côte Est de l’île, avec ses magnifiques plages de sable noir et ses célèbres spots de surf ! Durant tout le parcours, il y aura des arrêts de 5-10 minutes pours les prises de photos, les informations données par le guide, etc.
ETAPE 2 : Partez à la découverte de Tahiti sous un angle unique ! Le circuit débute par la côte Est de l’île, avec ses magnifiques plages de sable noir et ses célèbres spots de surf, avant de pénétrer au cœur de la vallée de Papenoo, la plus grande vallée de Tahiti. Cette immersion au cœur de la nature luxuriante de l’île vous offrira l’occasion de découvrir son essence de manière authentique et unique. Le tour est commenté avec des arrêts à plusieurs sites remarquables, offrant des paysages époustouflants jusqu’à la Caldeira, un cratère volcanique éteint qui a donné naissance à Tahiti Nui. Vous serez émerveillé par les cascades majestueuses, les montagnes verdoyantes, la végétation luxuriante, ainsi que la faune et la flore locales. Le guide partagera avec vous des récits fascinants sur les mythes et légendes, les marae, ainsi que le riche patrimoine culturel et historique de l’île.
ETAPE 3 : Après avoir parcouru la moitié de l’île et atteint la Caldeira, l’excursion se poursuit par la visite du village authentique de Fare Hape, un lieu rempli d’histoire où vous découvrirez la vie traditionnelle des habitants de Tahiti (marae, fare, four tahitien, etc.). Avant le départ, il est fortement conseillé d’apporter un sandwich ou un encas pour le déjeuner. Pour cela, nous nous arrêterons à un supermarché où vous pourrez acheter ce dont vous aurez besoin. Le déjeuner se fera dans un cadre authentique et pittoresque au village de Fare Hape, où vous pourrez profiter d’une pause bien méritée. Il est également fortement recommandé d’apporter une gourde personnelle d'eau ou des bouteilles d'eau, afin de rester bien hydraté pendant l'excursion. Une petite surprise vous attendra pour vous immerger davantage dans la culture polynésienne pour un moment de convivialité et de partage.
ETAPE 4 : L’aventure continue avec une halte au tunnel reliant la côte Est à la côte Ouest, offrant une vue spectaculaire sur Vaihiria, le seul lac d’altitude naturel de Tahiti. Vous traverserez ensuite toute l’île avant de revenir au point de départ.

Beautiful scenery but hang on for the rugged ride. Guide friendly and courteous. The stops for food at the grocery store very helpful. The lunch picnic spot was a relaxing break halfway through the drive. Highly recommend.
This tour was absolutely fabulous and we would highly recommend this tour! Our guide T’mauve (not sure spelling) was the most knowledgeable and we learned so much about the Tahitian culture. He educated us on all the nature and all the beauty of Tahiti!

The guides Temaeva was excellent. However due to landslide the road is blocked. We only went half way. Tunnel id blocked. You don't see lake Vahiria. You don't go out other side of island at Mahina. We didn't e en to to viewpoint at Maroto Restaurant. Very disappointed.

In Pape’ete you do your customers a disservice by only allowing a limited number of pickup points and then not telling the providers that that's what you have done. Every single one of them assumed that we were booked at the pickup hotel. It made the experience uncomfortable and less efficient.

Leonie is such an amazing guide! The roads that typically the tour takes, on one side of the island were unfortunately washed out due to so much rain the past few days, but Leonie still found a way to make the tour amazing for us and took another way to see some amazing scenery. She is an incredible person and taught us so much about the island and the great people here. I would not have been able to see even a quarter of what we did if not for Leonie. Fantastic scenery ready at 8.45 we didn’t get going from the supermarket till 10.00. Scenery was stunning and very dramatic unlike anything we’ve experienced in French Polynesia. Would have liked water provided.

As our tours are organized in groups, the schedule and pace may also depend on the needs of the participants on the day. Nevertheless, we always do our best to provide the best possible experience for all our guests. We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring the Papenoo Valley by jeep. If you are looking for an incredible experience, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Our guide was wonderful—so kind, helpful, and, most importantly, an incredibly skilled driver. The roads through the valley are very narrow and rugged, but she was a total professional. We felt completely safe and at ease with her behind the wheel the entire time. The trip lasted about 8 hours and included several great stops. One of the highlights was a refreshing break to swim in a beautiful natural pool, accompanied by a lovely snack. It’s clear that she has deep local knowledge, as she knew every hidden corner of the valley perfectly. I wouldn’t think of booking with anyone else. If you want a safe, authentic, and fun adventure, look no further!

While our guide on the tour through the heart of Tahiti was very knowledgeable and quite kind, I can’t recommend this trip to anyone else. Not because of the company but because the trip is 8 hours of being “bumpy” roads. It was more than bumpy, it was so jarring I felt like I was being beaten for 8 long hours. My husband was so car sick he could not enjoy any of it

However, we would like to clarify an important point regarding the route: it is not 8 hours of continuous bumpy roads. The tour alternates between paved roads, cement roads, more uneven tracks, as well as stops in the valley, at viewpoints, and at natural sites, in order to fully enjoy the landscapes and visits. We do understand that comfort perception can vary from one person to another, especially for those sensitive to motion sickness, and we regret that this may have affected your experience.
