Be careful what you sign for. They combine other excursions. So you are stuck in something you don’t sign for.
Don’t book this tour, cost 119.00, you think you are getting a day bed, not so. You get 2 beach chairs and umbrella for an additional 30.00. So for a 5 minute ride to the beach you pay a rip off price. Also never was given the snorkel gear.
Not sure what I paid for aside from transportation to the Tortuga factory and the beach. Everything else had to be paid for separately and could’ve been a $12 per person fee from the port with any taxi driver. Beach was completely overcrowded to where you couldn’t even sit in the water and every five minutes, they were telling you to get out of the water because of the jet skis and other motor boats. It was $17 for two sodas.
The tour was scheduled to leave at 9:00 AM. It is a walk from the ship as it is tendered. Our ship did not have clearance to tender until 9:00 AM. Therefore how are we supposed to meet at the meeting point at 9:00AM? The people at the information booth were very rude! And said “they left, you were not here” We called the number that is on the Viator app. They said to find another way to the beach. They could not help us. $200.00+ down the drain. Taking a taxi to the 7 mile beach for $6.00. DO NOT IDO THIS EXCURSION!!!
It was great. Would do it again, but try the car jet ski. They looked fun and amazing. Would recommend
Way too crowded We knew we would have to purchase chair and umbrella BUT they were literally ALL up against each other in a very long row AND umbrellas did not allow the benefit of Sun or no Sun Because were not able to move the chairs OR the umbrella. AND very unsafe beach due to Jet Skis and "Car Skis" parked and flying directly in the water in front of the chairs. HOWEVER the woman who drove us to the Beach, Paula AKA Brown Sugar (As per herself) was very friendly and talked and talked and talked the whole bus trip to the beach. We had to take a cab back to to the port because she ended up with a new tour - All in All it would only have been $12 for a round trip to the beach vs. $60 Plus each via Viatour So no I would not book again
Dear David, Thank your for the feedback and I'm sorry to hear about your unique experience. I agree the Seven Mile Beach is a sought-after attraction and it can feel crawdad some times, specially on days when we have many ships in port. We try to be punctual when departing form the beach. If you did not informed the driver about your plans stay at the beach longer, and you weren't sitting on the bus when it was time to leave, we automatically assumed that you made other transportation arrangements and move on with the tour. We hope you enjoyed your visit and return soon.
Details such as our transportation pick up spot were lacking. The excursion also didn’t mention stopping at a rum cake bakery or that our travel time to the beach would be over 30 min each way. By the time we got to the beach we had 90 min before we had to leave. We wanted the entire 4 hours at the beach.
Dear Jodi, Thank your for the feedback and I'm sorry that your ship did not docked in George Town due to bad weather. We hate it too when this happens. The meeting instructions can be found printed in the voucher you received from the booking agency prior to the cruise. I'm glad that you were able to visit all of the stops in the tour including the Seven Mile Beach and that you made it back to the Spotts terminal in time to catch the last tender. Please come back again
The guide was excellent and we really enjoyed his narrating and tour. We alos enjoyed the beach.... beautiful waters and sand. Thank you very much!
This is the perfect area to hang out swim in the crystal clear water and I highly recommend Bonnie Moon Restaurant on the beach! Food and service was amazing and they have chairs to sit out in front of the beach
Do not book through AMVIVO! it's a rip-off!! My Cruise arrived at a certain time, they know and are connected with the Cruise times, they stated it was late and after the agreed tour time. Upon speaking to locals, they said AMVIVO ALWAYS 6 this. Bad, really bad!
Hello Richard, Thank you for sharing your comments. It sounds like you missed the tour bus due to the late arrival of your ship, and you may have overlooked the instructions provided in your confirmation voucher regarding delays or missing the tour. We are very sorry this happened and understand your disappointment. We genuinely dislike when situations like this occur, especially when they are outside of our control. To clarify, we do not have any affiliation with the cruise lines. As noted when you booked the tour online, our departure times are based on Island Time, not ship time. For this reason, we always recommend that cruise passengers inquire with the local operator before booking an activity online (outside of the cruise line) to ensure the tour times align with your specific cruise itinerary. This helps prevent any disappointment or inconvenience. Should you require further assistance, please contact Viator customer support or email us at sales@amvivo.com. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on our tour the next time you visit the Islands. Take care.
