Itinéraire
Nous nous arrêterons au kibboutz Yad Mordechai, à la frontière nord avec Gaza, et en apprendrons davantage sur l'histoire, la géographie et l'importance stratégique de la région.
Nous nous arrêterons à l’extérieur de Moshav Nativ Ha’asara, la communauté civile la plus proche de Gaza et entendrons parler de l’attaque des terroristes contre les parapentistes, qui a amené la guerre dans ce village paisible.
Nous visitons le belvédère de Nahal Oz construit à la mémoire des 16 mille observateurs assassinés le 7 octobre et apprenons sur les 7 jeunes femmes enlevées et ce qui leur est arrivé.
Nous nous arrêtons devant le kibboutz Beeri, l’une des communautés les plus durement touchées lors de l’attaque meurtrière du Hamas, avec 102 personnes assassinées et 32 enlevées à Gaza – dont 10 toujours sur place. Les pertes de cette communauté ont été parmi les pires ce jour-là. Vous entendrez plusieurs histoires des horreurs que les familles ont subies. On entend aussi parler d'un héros qui a donné sa vie pour sauver sa communauté et apprendre ce que l'avenir réserve à ce kibboutz. Nous allons aussi dans l'abri anti-aérien près de l'arrêt de bus où Yuval Rafael, l'entrant israélien à l'Eurovision 2015, a été enterré sous des cadavres pendant 8 heures.
Route 232 Bomb Shelter: Rendez hommage à ce site symbolique, où plusieurs jeunes ont été enlevés, dont Hersh Goldberg. La route 232 a récemment été entièrement refaite après des dégâts dévastateurs causés par des roquettes, des incendies et des RPG. On apprend aussi l'histoire d'Aner Shapira qui a donné sa vie pour sauver d'autres personnes piégées dans l'abri antiaérien.
Nous entrons dans le kibboutz pour déjeuner dans la salle à manger commune. Nous visitons le site où Bipin Joshi, le travailleur népalais héroïque, a été pris en otage et ses amis du Népal et de Thaïlande ont été tués. On apprend ce qui s'est passé sur le kibboutz Alumim ce jour-là.
Station de repos Shuva Achim: un centre de volontariat inspirant pour les soldats, créé par les frères Trabelsi. Rencontrez des soldats en service actif et exprimez votre soutien. (Si vous souhaitez faire un don financier à l'aire de repos, ou apporter des cadeaux pour les soldats, c'est l'endroit idéal pour le faire)
Un arrêt profondément émouvant sur le site du Nova Music Festival près du kibboutz Re’im, où 364 jeunes ont été tués et 43 enlevés. Le site sert maintenant de mémorial spontané où les amis et les familles ont créé des souvenirs personnels et des hommages à leurs proches.
Le «cimetière automobile» près de Moshav Tkuma: la collection obsédante de 1 560 véhicules incendiés et détruits récupérés après les attaques - servant maintenant de mémorial temporaire. Les histoires de nombreux propriétaires de véhicules peuvent être lues à l'aide de codes QR érigés à proximité. Ces véhicules calcinés ne sont pas seulement des débris - ils transportent les histoires et les déchirements des personnes qui les conduisaient autrefois.
Visite du site du commissariat détruit de Sderot où une bataille acharnée a eu lieu le 7 octobre. Apprenez l'histoire d'Amer Odeh Abu Sabila, un héroïque travailleur bédouin du bâtiment qui a sauvé 2 jeunes filles après que leurs parents aient été assassinés. Amer a été abattu alors qu’il les sauvait, mais sa bravoure a assuré la survie des filles.

This was one of the most powerful, moving and meaningful tours I have ever experienced. Simon Oster Tour Guide was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging and incredibly well-informed. What made the tour so special was Simon’s ability to connect us with the stories of the terrible atrocities of the 7th October behind the places we visited. What a wonderful albeit emotional day we had touring the Gaza envelope Simon is sooooo knowledgeable, a truly convivial, relaxed and warm gentleman to boot. At every turn on our many stops he had such fascinating stories that only enhanced our experience. Not to mention he picked us up in a super comfy roomy car and is an excellent driver, and was so lovely, courteous and completely watching for our pace as we made our stops along an emotionally impactful journey through the Gaza envelope many kibbutz and many profound memorials. Simon was a most informative tour guide. He had lots to share regarding the history of the event as well as biblical and modern history of Israel. I would like to highly recommend Simon, the tour operator who guided my family through the Otef Gaza region. We began the day with some understandable apprehension, but Simon immediately set a thoughtful and reassuring tone by starting our visit at Yad Mordechai, where he gave an excellent overview of the area’s history, beginning with the earliest modern Jewish communities. Throughout the day, Simon took us to a number of important sites close to the Gaza border, including a viewpoint over the region, the grounds where a major music event had taken place, several protected structures used by local residents, & neighbourhoods that were significantly affected. We finished our tour at the location of the Sderot police station, an important landmark in recent events. Simon was exceptionally knowledgeable, & he presented everything with clarity, balance, & great sensitivity. Despite the challenging nature of the subject matter, he made the experience meaningful, accessible, & deeply informative. His professionalism, empathy, & understanding of the region were evident throughout the day. Simon is a licensed Israeli tour guide, & based on this experience, I would not hesitate to hire him again to explore other parts of Israel. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
Wonderful moving experience to see how inhuman Hamas were. Just animals. Learned and saw so much of the horror they inflicted on totally innocent people. Wonderful guide, explains everything fully. Well worth the money.
