The Statue of David

Amazing statues and art work. Michelangelo’s the statue of David was amazing.. Also the Statue of Saint Matthew and the Rape of the Sabine Women.

Meeting our guide and...

Meeting our guide and picking up our tickets was very easy. We waited for 5 minutes before going in to enjoy the Galleria.

This is a racket, but at least you get in

Bottom line: if it is the only way to get into the museum to see the David, then it is worth it. Just know what you are purchasing and don’t plan on a tour guide or useable audio guide. When I tried to get tickets at the museum, they were sold out for the next month. The only way to get in during our trip was to purchase through a tour company. This was not a tour however. It is the same tickets, but for twice the price! They offered us a digital audio guide by scanning a QR code. I listened to about 10 minutes of it. It was clearly AI and did not make any sense with reference to the museum so I stopped it. These companies are buying up all the tickets for the museum so that you have to buy through them for more money. It is a racket.

David at the Accademia was great!

Last minute tickets were sold out so I went to Aviatir and got these at 10:30pm for an entry of 8:15 am the next morning. The experience seems confusing at first, waiting for the tickets, but it was seamless once the person assigned to the tickets arrived. Highly Recommend.

Great tour with an excellent guide!

We chose this trip to ensure that we saw the biggest sites of the Vatican museums, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. It was perfectly timed, the meeting place was easy, and our guide was wonderful. Sandra kept us on time, shared excellent information and was sure to incorporate some of the older kids in the conversation.

Great way to spend a day.

Enjoyed seeing the great masterpieces. The level of craftsmanship was mind blowing. After so many museums your mind may not take in all the detail. Wonderful experience.

Exactly as we expected

Worked out exactly as we expected. Make sure to bring headphones so you can listen to the audio guide. If you don’t have cellular service you will not be able to use this feature.

Book far ahead and use official museum website to buy tickets.

It was disorganized. Unable to find the agent to get our tickets for a long time. Then he pulled my family out of the line we were already in and we had to go to the end. There was no priority entrance. We were actually set back farther. The agent could have been anyone. There was nothing to indicate he was with Viator. Since we were already late we had no choice but go along with him. When we got in the audio guide had to be paid for again. Since we already had paid Viator, we just did without. The place was far over crowded so there was no getting close enough to read anything. We did get to see David, then left. Really disappointed in Viator x

Terrible service

The representative showed up briefly at the designated time, shouted at us to wait, he’d be right back. He showed up 10 minutes past the start time of our designated entry and gave us tickets for a start time 15 minutes after our entry time. It was another 30 minutes before we could enter the building. Very disappointing. I think we are due a refund.
