Fun time and great experience! Wonderful to see the view at a different angle. Food was great as well
The staff were friendly and accommodating! I would recommend the gondola ride as a must do in Banff because of the breathtaking views.
Don't get tickets through Viator. It is a 3rd party vendor so you have to stand in line with their "ticket" to get the actual ticket while everyone else gets straight on the gondola.
The line up is well under control. The view is spectacular. At the top, numerous activities for every taste.
The tickets were not operational, I got a confirmation email, when I showed the tickets at the kiosk they said the tickets were not valid, I am in the process of getting my money back, I tried reaching out for help so far all I have recieved is a phone call saying they are working on it
The gondola ride was a very disappointing experience. It stopped for around 15 minutes, then moved only a few meters before stopping again. This happened multiple times, and no one provided any explanation or apologized for the inconvenience. Better communication with guests during unexpected delays would have made the situation much more acceptable.
I would give this a 5 star review, but a few things should be updated in the "Know before you go" section of this excursion. 1. Plan for Banff traffic. This place is iconic and everyone wants to see it. The city was packed and getting even to just a parking spot to use the shuttle system was insane. Plan for at least 45 minutes from the time you enter Banff, to get parking, find a shuttle bus and get to the gondola. If you try and drive to the gondola on your own, good luck on parking and plan for even more time trying to navigate a small town that has attracted more people than it can adequately handle. 2. You need to go print your tickets first. They will not accept your viator tickets as a boarding pass in the boarding line. Save yourself a 20 minute line wait in the boarding line and hit the ticket line first. Then you will have what you need for the boarding line. Once you have navigated these two obstacles, prepare yourself for some of the most insane views!!! Don't just stop at the top building. There are boardwalk that take you around this amazing mountain top to see views of peaks and valleys like I have never seen in my life. 100% worth the chaos to get there!!!

It's fun. Use transit to get to the gondola stop. Total time is about 2 hours on the top. Watch the interactive video
The private Gondola was about a 5 minute ride. The mountain top had both inside and outside viewing areas. Outside had a boardwalk to a lookout with many steps and resting points. Look for the bighorn sheep that hang out under the boardwalk. There a 2 restaurants and an outdoor Patio. Also a gift shop and video about the area.
