Bienvenue à "l'Escurial d'Autriche"! Nous explorerons cette monumentale abbaye vieille de 900 ans, qui est aussi le plus ancien domaine viticole d’Autriche. Promenez-vous dans les magnifiques appartements impériaux, admirez la spectaculaire église du monastère et découvrez les légendaires caves à vin à plusieurs niveaux. Cette abbaye riche en patrimoine abrite encore aujourd'hui ces trésors inestimables. L'un des artefacts remarquables que nous aurons l'occasion de voir est un chapeau ducal du XIVe siècle, un morceau d'histoire qui donne un aperçu fascinant du passé.
Nous voyageons plus profondément dans les paysages mystiques et luxuriants des bois de Vienne. Avant d’explorer notre prochain site historique, il est temps de régaler vos papilles ! Nous nous arrêterons à une taverne traditionnelle du monastère (Klostergasthof) ou une taverne de vin locale confortable. Savourez des plats autrichiens authentiques et savourez une dégustation d'excellents vins locaux. Grâce à votre chauffeur privé, vous pourrez siroter et vous détendre tout en admirant la vue sur la forêt sans aucun souci!
Après un déjeuner relaxant et délicieux, nous entrons dans le plus ancien monastère cistercien occupé en continu au monde. Notre point culminant final est l'élégante ville de Baden, à Biedermeier, célèbre complexe touristique thermal impérial classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Promenez-vous dans les rues piétonnes pittoresques, voyez où Beethoven a composé des parties de sa 9e Symphonie et admirez le superbe bâtiment du Casino et le Kurpark.
Après une belle journée remplie d'histoire, de nature et de vin, asseyez-vous et détendez-vous. Votre chauffeur naviguera en toute sécurité sur les routes pour revenir à Vienne, vous déposant juste à la porte de votre hôtel.

This was one of three tours that my 15-year-old son and I took with Cozy Travel while we stayed in Vienna. I scheduled the tours about six months in advance and was in constant contact with Jenny before the tours. Jenny happily answered any questions (which were a lot-LOL) I had over the six months and responded in perfect English. While her husband, Vladimer safely drove us to each location in their comfortable car, Jenny would provide background on the areas that we drove by (and would let us rest when needed!). Jenny also provided her vast expertise during the tours at the actual locations. My son and I felt safe with Jenny and Vlad, in addition to enjoying their expertise and companionship during the tours. First was a short drive to Klosterneuberg Monastery. Inside the church is beautiful with elaborate designs. The items in the treasury are fascinating, and Jenny was able to provide the history on everything we saw. Next, we went to the Heiligenkreuz Abbey. This church is also beautifully designed. The inner halls of the monastery courtyard are peaceful with stunning architecture. I actually had one of the best meals while in Austria at the restaurant located on the grounds. Finally, we went to the charming town of Baden. This is a peaceful town with gorgeous views atop the hill and in the town center. We went to a lovely heuriger (wine tavern) and sampled the most delicious Viennese wines. I would highly recommend this tour for a peaceful, relaxing escape from Vienna for the day.
