Vivez une journée parfaite de soleil, mer et culture! Profitez de près de 5 heures de baignade pure détente et de bains de soleil en bord de mer, alors que nous vous emmenons sur deux des plages les plus emblématiques de Grèce – Elafoni et Falasarna – le tout en une journée inoubliable. Nous commençons notre voyage à Elafonisi, la destination la plus époustouflante du jour. Plongez dans des eaux turquoises peu profondes, marchez le long d'un sable rose tendre et explorez les lagons exotiques, idéaux même pour les enfants. Ensuite, nous nous dirigeons vers l'ouest jusqu'à la superbe plage de Falasarna, une des préférées locales connue pour sa mer turquoise cristalline et son large rivage de sable blanc, parfait pour se détendre sous le soleil. Notre dernière étape est le village traditionnel de Vouves, où nous visiterons le plus vieil olivier du monde et dégusterons de l'huile d'olive vierge extra crétoise pure, un véritable avant-goût du patrimoine de l'île. Au large de la pointe sud-ouest de la Crète, à environ 75 kilomètres de la ville de La Canée, se trouvent la plage d'Elafonisi et la petite île. Il est à distance de marche du continent, parfois sans même se mouiller les orteils. Il était autrefois utilisé par les pirates pour cacher leur butin (lafyra) et c'est ainsi qu'il tire son nom. L'île (environ 1,3 km de long et 400 mètres de large) est une réserve naturelle protégée et possède l'une des plus belles plages de sable du pays. Plus que cela, Elafonisi est le seul candidat grec dans une liste Tripadvisor des 25 meilleures plages du monde pour 2014. Il faut s'y attendre: du sable blanc-rose aveuglément, des eaux turquoise-blanches ressemblant à un lagon qui ondulent à mesure qu'elles prennent la brise , un endroit exotique avec une végétation sporadique contre la dénudation austère des montagnes crétoises. Sur l'île découvrez de nombreuses petites criques, des plages de sable et des formations rocheuses intéressantes. Il abrite également 110 espèces végétales dont l'Androcymbium rechingeri protégé, ce qui est aussi rare que cela puisse paraître.
La plage de Falasarna est située dans la partie ouest de la Crète, à environ 53 km de la ville de La Canée et à 13 km de la ville de Kissamos. Très populaire auprès des excursionnistes, ses superbes plages et sa mer bleu turquoise sont uniques. Il a reçu de nombreux prix pour sa beauté, ses commodités et ses services appréciés par le visiteur. La longue plage de sable est l'un de ses avantages les plus importants, car elle offre aux visiteurs la possibilité d'en profiter, même en haute saison. Nager dans les eaux turquoises cristallines de la plage fera ressentir à chacun le plaisir ultime. Sa plage est entièrement organisée avec des parasols et des transats dans sa plus grande partie. Cependant, il existe plusieurs emplacements gratuits pour ceux qui préfèrent mettre leur propre parapluie et serviette sur le sable. Ce qui vous impressionnera le plus, c'est le coucher de soleil charmant et unique, l'un des plus beaux de Grèce. Le coucher de soleil y est vraiment impressionnant, car rien ne vient obstruer votre champ de vision entre la plage et l'horizon.
L'Olivier de Vouves est probablement l'un des plus vieux oliviers du monde, qui reste productif à ce jour. L'âge exact de l'arbre ne peut être déterminé. Alors que l'analyse des anneaux de croissance des arbres a démontré que l'arbre avait au moins 2000 ans, des scientifiques de l'Université de Crète ont estimé qu'il avait 4000 ans. En 1997, il a été déclaré monument naturel protégé et, en octobre 2009, le musée de l'olivier de Vouves a été inauguré dans une maison voisine du XIXe siècle, présentant des outils traditionnels utilisés dans le processus de culture de l'olivier. Depuis les Jeux olympiques d'Athènes en 2004, les branches d'olivier "kotinos" de cet olivier ancien ont été utilisées pour la couronne des vainqueurs du marathon à chaque jeu olympique. Chaque année, plus de 20 000 personnes du monde entier visitent cet arbre séculaire.

Christina and Kostas are the best for this tour! The drive is a little rough with the winding road to get to Elafonissi but Kostas is a very good driver and Christina was well prepared with anyone that might have motion sickness during the drive. The first beach is beautiful and is a great spot to be early in the day before all the busses start to drop off other travelers with just enough time there to enjoy the beach and leave before the crowds really show up. Lunch provided was just what you need to make it through the day. Christina was nice enough to walk our small group down to make sure everyone knew when and how long it takes to get back from the drop off point. Fallasarna was a much better beach experience, water is deeper, you can swim freely, the water actually feels like you’re in the ocean with waves and a walk up beach bar that has drinks and food. The last part visiting the ancient olive tree in vouves was the perfect way to end the trip, I had previously visited the tree but Christina is very well versed in the history and importance of the tree that filled a lot of gaps that my other guide missed and had a lot more information about the whole culture of olive trees in Crete that was very pleasant way to end the day before the short drive back to Chania. Wonderful day! Great trip I’d recommend to everyone to do this if you’re just getting into Crete!

The trip was very well organised from start to finish. The pick up was correct and on time, we were met by our bright guide Eleni and the skillful driver Kostas that took us on a trip around western Crete through history, traditions, local customs, etc. Elafonisi beach is truly breathtakingly beautiful and we enjoyed it whilst also enjoying the snackbox of local food prepared by Eleni and Kostas for us. We also had portable sunbeds and umbrellas provided for every beach we visited, so you don't have to pay the daily fee at the local beach bars. Finally, we visited the oldest olive tree and had a nice olive oil tasting session whilst learning Greek. Overall, an amazing experience, would definitely recommend to try it. You'll learn a lot from Eleni and Kostas, besides a really good driver, also takes great pictures.

The communication and organisation of the tour was immaculate (chef's kiss), and they picked us up and dropped us off near the hotel we were staying at, which was so convenient. The blanket, parasol for the beach was thoughtful and snackbox with cold drinks were nice and yummy. Our tour guide Elani was informative and kind throughout the trip and the driver Kostas was the best drives so smoothly. Highly recommend!

Undoubtedly, both beaches were marvelous! Having a mix of calm waters and waves made for a fantastic itinerary that kept our days exciting and varied. Incredible day thanks to the great guide Eleni and the outstanding driver Kostas. Thanks to them for this beautiful discovery of Cretan history and traditions. The sites visited are breathtakingly beautiful, the olive oil tasting was amazing, and the packed lunch was excellent. The minibus is very well equipped, we felt comfortable in it.

Wonderful day out. Very organised and on time. Provided beach mats, umbrellas, and a cooler with snack and refreshments. Visited two very beautiful beaches with plenty of time to relax and swim and then a great little stop at the world’s oldest olive tree. Eleni and kostas were great.
