Visite gastronomique en Égypte et cuisine égyptienne

Description

This food tour was just perfect. We had a really late flight out of Egypt so we wanted something to do late in the evening. Ali and the driver picked us up right on time at our hotel and were great about communicating beforehand. Ali was super friendly and fun and answered all our questions about Egyptian food and Egyptian life. We ate amazing koshary, shawarma, babganoush, falafel, beans, a tomato eggplant dish, and sugar cane juice. I highly recommend the tour! Super delicious and fun!
Nice walking tour, we ate local favorites and then took plenty of time to visit the famous bazar and visited a mosque, with lots of insight
Had an amazing tour with Karim!! Very insightful and educational, not to mention the best food and drink Cairo has to offer. A particular highlight for me was the history and architecture, exploring the streets where Cairo was built, and learning about the beautiful ancient Islamic civilisation that raised it. Thanks Karim and team, we will definitely come back.
Highly recommend the food walk tour in Cairo with Mohammed. You will see a lot of night life in downtown and taste regular Egyptian food. We tried Koshari in one of the famous place. The next we tried shawarma from a street vendor and it was recommended in Syrian style. Also we ate kebda (some hotdog ban with liver) and stopped at sweets place where I bought Egyptian style pastries to bring home. At the end we had hot teas in a street cafe.
Our guide Mohamed was funny, witty and he was extremely knowledgeable regarding Ancient Egypt history and facts. We recommend him to everyone.
Amazing tour to try local Egyptian food! Highly recommended for those seeking to mix with the locals and feel the real atmosphere of Cairo streets while tasting delicious Egyptian typical treats. Mohammed, our tour guide and host, guided us through all the busy streets near our hotel and stopped in the best food spots to show us what koshari, shawarma, falafel, liver, and Egyptian sweets tasted like. All delicious and very clean places keeping the health standards and making us feel safe :) He was all the time taking care of the group, speaking with all of us and giving us the best pieces of information about Egyptian history and traditions. We couldn’t feel more welcome and cannot recommend him enough. A tour and guide not to miss! Ps: thanks a lot for the “How to cross Cairo streets” masterclass ;)
Trying local food is for us a must do in all our visiting countries, so if you are like us, this is a must do! Mohammed bring us to all the best places and we really enjoyed his company. Be sure to not eat anything at least 6 hours before the tour as you will eat enough food for a few days worth!;p Mohammed is a very nice and intelligent person. He is a good communicator that has so much knowledge and the tour we had with him was perfect ! I highly recommend him. I would book again next time with him!
Note: This review is based on an Egyptian food tour through GuruWalk that we did with Mohamed. Mohamed's Egyptian food tour was an absolute highlight of our time in Cairo and we'd recommend it as A MUST on your visit!! We enjoyed a fabulous evening of Egyptian dishes specifically curated by Mohammed, whose professional and personal experiences in tourism and Egyptian history are top notch. Local tips and suggestions to improve the rest of our stay in Cairo were free-flowing and he was more than happy to provide support via WhatsApp afterwards. Mohammed takes care and attention and leads with trustworthiness and passion. We already had another guide booked for Giza or else we might have insisted he take us around there too!
I would recommend the Cairo food tour with Mohamed. He was very very friendly and took lots of care to help us find good spots. I felt very safe with him as he was professional and communicated about the routes we would take. He would also ask us if we were okay with the option he proposed or if we wanted to see something else. I learned a lot and it was also lots of fun!
My guide, Mohammed Elfar, was amazing. He is friendly, kind, and considerate. Before we started the tour, he asked if I had any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We visited restaurants in the Giza area and I ate delicious food like Kebda (liver), Koshari (rice, pasta, red sauce), Pasposa (dessert), Falafel, Fuol (beans). My favorite part of the tour was walking and eating among the locals. If you want to try some delicious food, reserve this tour and request Mohammed as your guide.
Thank you for your review.. We hope to organize the next tour for you and your friends, and our wonderful guide, Muhammad Al-Far, will be with you. Narmer tours team
