Edimbourg : Loch Ness, Glencoe et The Highlands

Bêtes mythiques, fables et paysages spectaculaires : explorez la beauté de l'Écosse en une journée lors de cette excursion d'une journée en autocar. Au départ d'Édimbourg, nous nous dirigeons vers le nord-ouest en passant devant des monuments célèbres tels que le palais de Linlithgow : lieu de naissance de Mary, reine d'Écosse, les mystiques Kelpies et le château de Stirling, spectaculairement perché. En continuant vers le nord, nous arrivons à Glencoe pour quelques photos des crêtes spectaculaires appelées les Trois Sœurs. Nous nous arrêtons dans la région de Fort William pour déjeuner avant de nous diriger vers la beauté naturelle du Great Glen en passant devant la plus haute montagne de Grande-Bretagne, le Ben Nevis. En nous dirigeant plus loin dans les hautes terres, nous arrivons dans le petit village pittoresque de Fort Augustus. Vous pouvez choisir de participer ici à une croisière en bateau facultative. Le chemin du retour sera l’occasion de se détendre et d’admirer le paysage des Highlands. Le dernier arrêt de ravitaillement a lieu dans la ville historique de Pitlochry avant de poursuivre le voyage de retour en passant par le Firth of Forth, le long du pont ferroviaire du Forth, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, en route vers Édimbourg.

Notre premier arrêt pour des rafraîchissements et une pause réconfort est Callander, où vous aurez l'occasion de prendre une collation et de vous dégourdir les jambes. Si vous êtes assez chanceux, vous aurez peut-être la chance de rencontrer les Highland Cows (selon la saison).
Nous faisons un bref arrêt dans cet endroit pittoresque pour admirer la vue sur le Loch Tulla et Glen Orchy
Site du massacre du clan MacDonald en 1692, Glencoe est l'une des vallées les plus célèbres d'Écosse. Ici, vous descendrez pour une séance photo avec les spectaculaires crêtes nord connues sous le nom de Three Sisters
Vers la mi-parcours de notre visite, nous nous arrêtons dans la région de Fort William pour déjeuner.
Une autre occasion de prendre des photos alors que nous nous arrêtons à la périphérie de Spean Bridge au mémorial Commando. Une vue imprenable sur Fort William et la plus haute montagne du Royaume-Uni, Ben Nevis. En fonction des horaires, cet arrêt peut être sujet à modification
Une occasion de prendre un déjeuner et de participer à une croisière en option sur le Loch Ness Boat. Pour ceux qui ne sont pas sur la croisière, nous avons plus d'une heure ici, ce qui est beaucoup de temps pour prendre un café et se promener.
Arrêt dans la station balnéaire victorienne de Pitlochry pour une chance de se dégourdir les jambes et de prendre quelques rafraîchissements légers avant la dernière étape du voyage de retour

Great experience! A guided bus tour that takes you to all the sites as advertised. Plus the bus driver in addition to being efficient at driving, is also giving an excellent tour, providing some great stories, history, and music. You don’t have to worry about a thing, you are in good hands Also booked this relatively last minute due to another tour canceling at the last minute (I had booked this almost a year ago). Nonetheless, the tour operator was easily able to confirm me, so I greatly appreciate it
The itinerary was perfect if you want to cover the highlights of Highlands in a day. The stops were well planned with adequate time to take photos, or grab a bite to eat. The coach was comfortable, and the drive was smooth, even on the winding Highland roads. Our guide, Chris, was fantastic. His passion, extensive knowledge of Scottish history, and well chosen music playlist made the journey even more enjoyable. He shared fascinating stories and historical insights throughout the day, bringing each location to life. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland!
I was hesitant to book a 10+ hour bus trip, but I'm so so glad I did. This trip was an unforgettable experience. The bus is very comfortable, and I felt safe the whole time. Chris, our driver and guide, provided fantastic storytelling while being a superb DJ (his dad humor was also painful but in a good way). I didn't think I would be able to see the Scottish Highlands during my quick trip to Edinburgh, so this was such a treat!
Chris is an excellent guide. Very friendly, gives great recommendations, and tells good jokes too. The tour is well-organized, and he provides excellent information throughout. Highly recommended! ⭐️
Chris was super entertaining. On Entertainment: Chris played a really good music selection that enhanced the views from the bus. I'll always remember the 2 minutes going through Glencoe - the music was haunting, the view was moody, the story Chris told us was devasting. It was perfectly done. When it comes to touristy tours - this is indeed on of the better ones. I would skip the loch Ness cruise, though. 22 pounds for 40 minutes actual views isn't really worth it. Overall, if you want to dip your toes into the Highlands and get a fast (and crazy scenic) overview, then this is the tour for you.
Excellent day trip! Comfortable and clean coach. Friendly, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour driver, and a well-planned itinerary. Everything ran smoothly, and we had a fantastic day. Highly recommended!
