I’d absolutely recommend to edge to anybody visiting New York for the first time. It’s about £35 each for an hour, but like I said, for your first time visiting to see the city from above it’s worth it. Definitely check the weather to try and book it so you’ve got a lovely clear day! From below the observatory looks quite small but actually it’s pretty spacious. The staff are lovely & helpful and everyone we met was super helpful to take pictures and also considerate of everybody around them so everyone has their fair share of the views and photo opportunities. There’s also a few picture spots inside of the building which is also pretty cool to check out. There’s also a cafe, gift shop and ice cream cart inside.
Reservation at 6pm. Just awesome! Very well organized, little waiting to access this platform with exceptional views. Large glass tray where you can step on it seeing the void under your feet! To do absolutely
You can't come to NYC without passing through here. I recommend it to those who do not suffer from vertigo. The place is very nice elegant warm and refined. There is a bar where you can sit and enjoy breathtaking views. Great wines and great cocktails. Very welcoming and helpful staff. We understand each other with English or Spanish. You are escorted by elevator and climb up to the 101st floor in a few minutes. You are left speechless. You reach a terrace that improves the view even more and on this terrace is a piece of glass flooring. You can walk or sit there it seems to be suspended in the void. I recommend this attraction not at sunset time as it is super crowded. I entered at 8.30 pm and there were very few fabulous people!!!
It's one of the newest skyscrapers with great views, also thanks to the terrace on the 100th floor, with a new view of NYC from an unprecedented angle. Non-claustrophobic rocket lifts, few people and few queues, outdoor terrace with transparent triangle for those who do not suffer from vertigo. Anyone who wants can add pepper by climbing, harnessed and guided, to the hillock (for an extra fee). For DIY travelers, the entrance, buried in a shopping center, is not easy to find: ask the various stewards. In general, the experience of these vantage points are a must in NYC: choose the day well avoiding clouds and looking for the right time for light. They are very controlled for access and loads in lifts, giving overall impression of great safety.
My kids went on this. Tickets are about $40 they were very underwhelmed. Only a small portion of the deck is clear, not really worth the money for the ticket.
Traveled to NYC to visit the Flowerbomb display located on the interior of the 100th floor of the Edge. When we arrived they had shut the whole place down for the day because it was a rainy day and the outside observation deck had zero visibility. We had already prepurchased our tickets online prior to our arrival so imagine our surprise when we arrived and the whole operation was completely shut down. We asked to speak with the manager and informed him that we had traveled 2 hours and got all dressed up to come experience the Flowerbomb exhibit which is indoors, not outside on the observation deck and that we had zero interest in going outside to the observation deck. Initially, he was going to let us in but then his superior told him he could not permit us in to see Flowerbomb. What a huge disappointment! They then offered us tickets for another day which we declined as we were only in NYC for the day. Then they gave us a refund of our ticket price. While I understand that inclement weather can force unexpected changes I just feel like because we had prepurchased our tickets online they should have contacted us and told us the exhibit was closed for the day so we could have made alternate plans and not been blindsided when we arrived. That was rotten.
Unpleasant Welcoming , we must not arrive in advance; we are kept waiting ... nice view ,but too many people to be able to make correct photos
I stayed in 'The Now' last week with my family. Beautiful property with KALLAR river flowing next to the Homestay. You can take bath in the river, crystal clear water and absolutely safe as well. The most important point about the property is the Caretaker / Owner of the HomeStay Mr.Krishnan. He take care of every minute details of his guests. He does does bother to go extra mile to help the guests, no mater what. Special thanks to him for helping me to find a place for may extended stay, arranging some special stuff requested by me. Regards, Saumendra
Gail’s knowledge about the city. She was timely and very patient with us and answered each question.
Although this was a fantastic experience I would offer a suggestion : if, like us, the Covid pandemic has made you a little wary of crowds, then avoid visiting at sunset, it's absolutely packed. That said it gives amazing views and the sunset was spectacular and we really did enjoy it, just didn't stay as long as we would have it if wasn't so busy. A real highlight was the video presentation in the lift, especially going down. Could have fine that several times.
