Embarquez pour un voyage fascinant à travers l'Himalaya oriental, en explorant les destinations enchanteresses de Darjeeling, Pelling, Gangtok et Kalimpong. Votre aventure commence par un transfert de Bagdogra à Darjeeling, où vous pourrez vous détendre et explorer la charmante ville. La deuxième journée se déroule avec une visite spectaculaire tôt le matin à Tiger Hill pour une vue du lever du soleil sur le mont. Kanchendzonga, suivie de visites au monastère Ghoom, à l'Institut d'alpinisme de l'Himalaya, et bien plus encore. Continuez vers Pelling le troisième jour, en découvrant la richesse culturelle du monastère de Pemayangtse et des ruines de Rabdentse. Le voyage mène ensuite à Gangtok, offrant des vues pittoresques et des visites du monastère de Rumtek, de l'Institut de tibétologie et de Hanuman Tok le cinquième jour. Rendez-vous le sixième jour dans la paisible ville de Kalimpong pour explorer le monastère de Durpin, les maisons du Dr Graham et bien plus encore. Terminez votre odyssée himalayenne le septième jour avec un transfert de départ vers l'aéroport de Bagdogra.

Conformément à votre horaire de vol, un ramassage coordonné sera organisé depuis l'aéroport de Bagdogra (IXB). Un véhicule climatisé avec chauffeur privé sera fourni pour toute la durée de la visite. Le ramassage est également disponible dans tous les hôtels, résidences et autres hébergements de Bagdogra. Les voyageurs arrivant à l'aéroport seront accueillis et assistés par notre responsable de bureau. Veuillez fournir les détails de votre hôtel ou de votre vol au moins 3 jours avant la visite. Les coordonnées des cadres du bureau et des chauffeurs seront communiquées un jour avant la visite.

Travellers who have motion sickness and don't like long journeys by car are strictly advised Not To travel. You should set aside 10 days to visit East Sikkim (Gangtok), North Sikkim, Pelling and Darjeeling. It takes minimum 6 to 7 hours to move from Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok, 7 hours from Gangtok to Pelling and 4 hours from Pelling to Dargeling. 3 hours from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport. Roads are very small and conditions are very bad till Sikkim starts. For North Sikkim, 2 nights 3 days is minimum duration set by government. Nathu pass is only closed on Mondays. Avoid sightseeing on Thursday in Dargeling as Dargeling Zoo and 2 points within Zoo are closed. Don't Travel in rainy season from June to first week of October if you want to see Kanchenjunga view and avoid any inconvenience. 1 days sight seeing in Pelling, Darjeeling and 2 days in Gangtok is sufficient. People in all 3 places are helpful and nice. Book hotels which are nearby MG Road in Gangtok and Mall Road in Dargeling and nearby taxi stand in Pelling. Hotel Summit Residency is good in all 3 places. Only difference is it is little far in Pelling (9 km from taxi stand) and Darjeeling (2 km from Mall road) Darjeeling train tickets are costly but if you still want to Travel, suggest taking Rs 1000 train ticket of Disel as you can see Steam Engine train a 5 minutes ahead than Disel train and both of them stand at Ghoom station. Hence no point in booking Rs 1500 ticket Above are my personal and practical experience. Rest of details articles are also available on net.
The moment I stepped into my room, I was struck by its tidy appearance and cozy atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing the ideal setting for restful sleep after long days of exploration. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel was its commitment to cleanliness. Every corner of the property radiated freshness, from the common areas to the private rooms.
This tour was absolutely outstanding: amazing views of Himalayan snow capped mountains, fascinating insights into culture and monasteries of Sikkim and great food. But especially good was our wonderful local guide Bipendra whose cheerfulness , many talents and knowledge made our tour fun. To make your trip even more special, I recommend staying in the luxurious 4 star Elgin hotels for a taste of Raj heritage. Also be aware that Sikkim requires extra passport photos and photocopy of passport.
