What a great way to spend an hour! We left promptly and had a great ride up the rivers. The captain was knowledgeable and interesting. My companions were 6 and 9 years old and not interested in the history of the area. They loved the snack choices and looking at the battleship and the wildlife. We had a great time. They want you to know we did not see any pirates but they did receive some nice treasure chest booty from the staff.
The Captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our cruise very much! The scenery was gorgeous!
Thus was a nice relaxing boat ride with some history involved
We had a great experience! Great value for the time spent on the boat and Patrick was awesome. Giving us a lot of history that I was aware of in Wilmington, North Carolina. The whole crew was excellent. The boat was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Whenever we travel to a river city, if there is a boat cruise, we’re on it. We did this cruise and while I did read they alternate routes on the odd and even hours, I don’t know if the alternate route would be much better. While the narration was great the views were all industrial. Not exactly what we were looking for but relaxing none the less and you do see the eagles island while cruising.
The captain and first mate were great! Very friendly and likable. The first mates narrative was very interesting. I learned a lot about Wilmington. He was also a very good sport about having to double as a bartender since there was a last-minute call out. The fruit punch cocktail was excellent! I highly recommend!
I loved everything—the service was excellent, and the places and their history were great! It’s a wonderful experience.
Boat was clean and comfortable, not too crowded. Staff of 3 (driver, narrator, barkeep) were all 5 star --very competent, courteous, and welcoming. I loved that the background music was not pop rock or country, just a quiet jazz. The narrator was very clear and informative with interesting info. I also loved that he provided moments of quiet to just enjoy the breeze, the waves, and the birds.
This was such a great experience! The pricing of the ride was so affordable and I loved that there was a bar and bathroom onboard. Drinks at the bar were a great price too. The crew was incredibly nice and the narrator was funny. It was so enjoyable and totally worth it. I traveled with little kids as well and they were so sweet and welcoming to them.
Perfect history and eco tour for newcomers to Wilmington. Our guide gave lots of great facts and all staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.
