Un voyage en Irlande ne saurait se conclure sans une visite au Château de Blarney. Lors de cette excursion d'une journée au départ de Dublin, vous irez embrasser la célèbre pierre de l'éloquence de Blarney, vous flânerez dans les jardins du château et vous écouterez le récit émouvant des émigrés d'Irlande au Queenstown Story, à Cobh. Voyageant en train et en autocar, vous découvrirez la riche histoire de l'Irlande et ses paysages panoramiques.

À notre arrivée à Cork à 09h35, nous prenons notre autocar à travers la ville de Cork jusqu'au village de Blarney et au château historique de Blarney, vieux de plus de 600 ans. Explorez les magnifiques jardins et prenez le temps d'embrasser la célèbre pierre qui confèrerait le don de l'éloquence éternelle à ceux qui ont la chance de le faire. Vous aurez également du temps pour faire du shopping et déjeuner à Blarney Village. CONSEIL! Nous vous recommandons d'y déjeuner, car ce sera la seule occasion de la journée de prendre un repas copieux. Vous quittez Blarney à 13h30. Environ – ou selon les instructions de votre hôte – pour Cóbh, via le centre-ville et un court tour de ville.
Lorsque la reine Victoria visita l'Irlande en 1849, elle vint à Cóbh et la ville fut rebaptisée Queenstown en son honneur - elle fut renommée Cóbh après l'indépendance de l'Irlande en 1922. Cóbh était, bien sûr, le dernier contact du RMS Titanic et ce thème est bien expliqué. Le centre abrite également de nombreuses informations sur la grande famine et l'émigration irlandaise qui a suivi - 3 millions d'Irlandais ont émigré de Cóbh (principalement aux États-Unis). La Lusitania a été torpillée au large des côtes de Cork, marquant l’entrée des États-Unis dans la Première Guerre mondiale, et le petit nombre de survivants a été conduit à Cóbh pour y trouver refuge. Cóbh est également le quartier général de la marine irlandaise et vous verrez probablement des navires de la marine.

- Arrivée à 6h40 ! Le train part à 7h du matin et il n'attend pas. Notre stand d'enregistrement jaune est situé à proximité du bureau du service client de la gare Heuston où notre représentant vous attendra dans sa veste jaune BRIGHT !

- Un nombre minimum s'applique. Il y a une possibilité d'annulation après confirmation s'il n'y a pas assez de passagers pour répondre aux exigences. Dans ce cas, une alternative ou un remboursement complet vous sera proposé.
- Les enfants U16 ne peuvent pas réserver indépendamment. Ils doivent être accompagnés d'un parent/tuteur en tout temps.
- POLITIQUE EN FAUTEUIL ROULANT : Nos circuits sont une combinaison de train et d'autocar de luxe et incluent un niveau modéré d'activité physique, comme de courtes promenades jusqu'aux points de rendez-vous, etc. Malheureusement, même les autocars (bus) de luxe les plus modernes ne sont pas adaptés aux fauteuils roulants, nos circuits sont donc ne convient pas aux personnes à mobilité réduite et, malheureusement, les marcheurs, les fauteuils roulants et les scooters de mobilité ne peuvent pas être accueillis lors de nos visites.

This was a fun side trip from Dublin. The castle is beautiful and there is just enough time to see everything. There wasn't much information given during the lengthy train trips, however.
It was all day,but very informative and entertaining. Our guide Dave was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and good humored. Our bus driver Ellie was wonderful as well.
Had a great time on this excursion. Brian was a great host. Blarney Castle is gorgeous - don’t sleep on the gardens, they are worth exploring!! Very cute shops here too. Do know you only drive through downtown Cork, you don’t stop to explore Cork. I do wish we had more time to explore Cóbh instead of only one hour. If I could do it again I’d walk up to the main Cóbh village to take photos and see the shops instead of visiting the Heritage Center.
Interesting way to travel from Dublin, however it was a lot of waiting around while we had limited time at the points of interest. The “cork city tour” was only on the tour bus and the only places we got out was at the blarney castle (2 hours) and Cobh heritage center (1 hour). The interactions between the guide and the driver were heated at times. The guide made multiple comments about the driver affecting his tips, and told guests to make sure to tip them separately. The rules about food/drinks on the bus were strict, cold drinks only. We enjoyed Blarney Castle and the village but not sure this was the best way to do it.
Time is very limited at Blarney if there is a crowd for stone and castle. I would have preferred to stay there vs going to 2nd stop.
The train ride and bus were fantastic. Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone are a must-see! Make sure you are clear on where to meet the bus after visiting the castle.

The train ride both ways was a welcome opportunity to rest on the second day in country. The Blarney tour was great although more time here and less in Cove would have allowed for a complete garden tour, castle tour and time at the Woolen Mill store. After getting lunch we just did not have time to shop. The time in Cove was good the Cathedral was beautiful. The immigration museum was very Focused on Titanic history and Lusitania sinking.

Brian was a friendly and very informative guide. It was a bit disjointed having multiple tours together, but I do understand why they structured it that way. I would recommend. Having participated in a bus tour two days prior, the speed of the train was a welcome change.
