The instructor who took us out was excellent, professional, friendly, patient, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The actual ride itself was fantastic and exactly what we had hoped for. Unfortunately, everything changed when we returned. After we had parked the jet skis, changed, and were about to leave, we were called back and accused of damaging one of the jet skis. The damage they pointed to was not caused by us, and the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing. The jet skis already showed signs of age, with existing scratches and marks, making it impossible to know when previous damage had occurred. Despite this, we were spoken to in an intimidating manner and made to feel responsible for something we did not do. Dubai is an incredible city and we have had nothing but positive experiences throughout our visit. However, if you are visiting Dubai or are unfamiliar with how these situations are handled, this experience could be extremely intimidating. You may feel pressured into accepting responsibility and paying for damage you did not cause. I was confident enough to challenge the accusation, but I genuinely worry that many tourists would simply pay to avoid the confrontation. I was travelling with my seven year old daughter and rode carefully, staying well away from the other riders for the entire trip. We returned without incident, so the accusation came as a complete shock. My advice is simple. If you want to hire a jet ski in Dubai, do not feel pressured to book in advance. There are many reputable operators along this stretch of beach offering very similar tours. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend choosing one of the other operators instead of Nemo WaterSports. The tour itself deserves five stars. The way we were treated afterwards deserves none. Sadly, the false damage accusation completely overshadowed what should have been a memorable family experience, and for that reason I cannot recommend Nemo WaterSports.
