Excursion d'une journée en traîneau à chiens et en rennes au camp de base de Borealis

Description

The Dogsled and Reindeer Day Trip to Borealis Basecamp was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our Alaska trip! The dogsled ride was exciting, and it was amazing to see the strength and enthusiasm of the sled dogs. Meeting and feeding the reindeer was such a unique and memorable experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish. The scenery was beautiful, and Borealis Basecamp provided a wonderful setting for these authentic Alaskan activities. Everything was well organized, and we learned a lot about the local culture and animals. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alaska and looking for a fun and unique adventure!
The borealis camp is great! We enjoyed all acitivities there. Our guides for Reindeer meet and greet and Dogsled, Alec and Annie, respectively are very kind, knowledgeable and made sure we had a memorable experience! However, the whole trip could have been better if we didn’t have to wait for a few hours before our first activity. Food was also just ok.
We loved our tour the dog sled was an incredible experience. Also enjoyed petting and feeding the reindeers. Would greatly recommend.
Joey, the guy who led our sledding expedition, had just finished the Iditarod sled race last year and listening to him.Explain his experience was fascinating! Highly recommend using him for your excursion
Very good day tour. Saved a lot of money compared to staying there for 2 nights. We did the dogsled tour; dogs are so cute. Also met, fed, and pet the reindeers. They are definitely gorgerous. During our wait we enjoyed the winter trail, the flat tire bicycle, and had a good lunch. One thing though: the shuttles -- both directions -- are always late. The Fairbanks-basecamp was scheduled for 09:30 but hasn't arrived until 10:15. The basecamp-Fairbanks was scheduled for 16:00 but never showed until 16:35. Otherwise perfect.
This was an amazing day. The camp itself is a beautiful setting. We loved feeding the reindeers but especially loved dogsledding through the woods with our amazing expert musher and her incredible team of dogs. Would highly recommend.
This was a fantastic way to spend a day. Such a beautiful location. Everyone that we encountered from the shuttle driver to the dog musher (Annie) and reindeer handler were top notch. If you love dogs this is a 10/10 experience! Yes, the sled ride is only around half an hour, but it is enough and the rest of the time interacting with the dogs is amazing. The reindeer encounter was a delightful surprise—I did not expect to be able to go inside the pen. It was wonderful to see how loved and well cared for they are. We also enjoyed the lunch and walking the nature trails.
It’s a great place and nice friendly staff. Did bunch of different activities and all were top. Dogsledding was so fun got to pet the dogs and they are very lovable. Did the reindeer tour as well and the lady was very nice we fed them , took plants pics with them all was amazing. Did the helicopter ride for 20min and was worth it every penny the feeling is totally different from a plane. Saw few Moose along the ride. Lots of fun activities and i totally recommend them
This was a great experience. Reindeer feeding was fun. Bring a warm face mask and gloves for dog sled as they only provide jacket, shoes and pants. Keep your cell next to your body as it can freeze up. I had it hanging around my neck so it was exposed to -10F.
Awesome experience! The dog sleds can go surprisingly fast! You can also pet the dogs and pose for photos with them as well.
