Nous allons commencer cette aventure sur les rives de la rivière Mondego, où nous traverserons un pont piétonnier coloré, le pont Pedro et Ines, en direction du péage. Sur ce pont, vous avez toujours le privilège de contempler une superbe vue panoramique sur la magnifique ville de Coimbra et les montagnes environnantes. Le long de cet itinéraire, le vaste patrimoine historique, culturel et naturel de cette ville éveille en chacun de nous le désir de partir à l'aventure. Une aventure pour découvrir l'histoire et les mystères cachés dans les rues et les escaliers, du centre-ville à la zone haute de la ville, une aventure pour découvrir la vieille ville fortifiée et la plus ancienne université de l'Europe, l'Université de Coimbra.

The guide was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. He had a good sense of humor and made it easy to ask questions.
We knew little about Coimbra other than where it is when we booked this tour. BY the end, Sergio had given us a good understanding of the history of the city and its importance to Portugal. Sergio is a great communicator and explains things in well. As he grew up in Coimbra he was able to give us insights into how the city has changed. He paced the tour really well and we didn’t notice the hill we walked up. The tour of the Santa Cruz Monastery was extra special and must for any trip to Coimbra. Having been a student at Coimbra University Sergio was able to give us the ‘inside’ information on students life in the town. He gave us great recommendations for things to do and restaurants. We highly recommend this tour and any tour by Aventuras Forte.
We spent the day exploring Coimbra with our guide, Sergio. Met him right on time at the Joaquim Antonio de Aguiar statue and started our walking tour through this beautiful historic city. We saw parts of the original 11th-century palace and city wall, visited the old and new cathedrals, and made our way up to the University of Coimbra — the oldest university in Europe! After crossing the Santa Clara bridge over the Mondego River, we wrapped up with a nice lunch. Lots of walking, climbing, and learning — a fun and informative day with a great guide.
What are the best tours I’ve ever had. Sergio is very knowledgeable and personable. He had a fantastic tour planned. And it’s easy to see he loves what he’s doing.
