Le sanctuaire de Tsukuyomi a une histoire de 1 300 ans. Sentez l'énergie du sanctuaire tout en vous tenant tranquillement sur le terrain entouré par la nature.Il est situé juste à côté du port de Sakurajima.
Si vous allez à Sakurajima, un premier arrêt recommandé est le centre d'accueil de Sakurajima. Leurs panneaux d'exposition vous montrent les éruptions passées, la formation du volcan, la végétation, le tourisme et les activités de prévention des catastrophes à Sakurajima. Vous pouvez apprendre comment les gens mènent leur vie à Sakurajima en regardant un film haute définition et en regardant une maquette du volcan.
Dans le parc se trouve un bain de pieds de 100 m de long, l'un des plus longs du Japon, alimenté par une source chaude naturelle située à 1 000 m sous terre. L'eau de couleur terre cuite contient du fer. Pourquoi ne pas soulager votre fatigue du voyage dans le bain de pieds tout en admirant la baie de Kinko devant et Sakurajima derrière ?
L'Ougaku Togei Sakurajima-yaki est une poterie fabriquée à partir de cendres volcaniques naturelles. Dans ce programme, vous allez créer une image en utilisant des cendres colorées de Sakurajima. Cela ne prend pas longtemps (minimum 20 minutes), vous pouvez donc l'essayer en visitant Sakurajima. Votre photo sera prête rapidement et vous pourrez la rapporter à la maison comme un superbe souvenir.
L'observatoire est situé à la quatrième station, à 373 m d'altitude, sur le pic nord de Sakurajima. C'est le point culminant de Sakurajima accessible au public. Vous serez impressionné par la vue sur la surface rugueuse du South Peak fumant où. C'est l'un des endroits incontournables de Sakurajima.

A very enjoyable and interesting trip to Sakurajima. This was a fascinating visit to an active volcano, although not erupting when we were there. Aya, the guide was excellent in taking us around the sites. We particularly enjoyed seeing the museum of the volcano and doing some artwork with coloured volcanic ash at a local pottery where there was some wonderful pottery to buy. Finally we went up the volcano by bus and got some great views.
Very intimate trip with Naomi - there were only 4 of us on the tour so she gave us a lot of her time to inform and answer questions. What a great trip to the volcanic island - seeing how the people have adapted to the hardships volcano can impose - but how people have leveraged the ash for art, to grow superior vegetables, to use the heated waters to soak feet, and to use the materials for buildings. Naomi was prepared with masks for the ash. Really enjoyed creating art with colored ash. Thanks for a very nice day, Naomi - and the help at the pharmacy afterward.

The ferry terminal is a long way from the port. The Temple is not worth visiting, the video has subtitles which do not stay long enough to read. The viewing point is outstanding.
We had a wonderful tour with Cozy! She met us on time at the ferry terminal and took us to see all the sites on Sakurajima island. She did a great job explaining everything to us and getting us everywhere on time with very little waiting for buses or ferries. We enjoyed it very much!
We had a great tour with our guide, Cozy! She met us early at the ferry terminal and had everything planned perfectly so that we could see and do everything with almost no waiting. She gave us great information about Kagoshima and Sakurajima and was a delight to spend time with. She moved us along at a wonderful pace so we had no threat of not making it back to our cruise ship on time. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Sakurajima volcano!
Fantastic place and time punctual trip, good mix of nature and art. Mt Sakurajima history was amazing to observe.
Be sure to leave plenty of time to explore all this island has to offer. There is usually ash in the air, so you may consider bringing a mask.
We took a short ferry ride to Sakurajima Island. The foot bath from the thermal springs was a wonderful experience. We bought some oranges from the visitor center that were some of the best we've ever tasted. We also had fun making art from the volcanic ash, a nice memento from our time in Sakurjima.
