Rejoignez-nous pour une visite à pied dans le centre historique de Salerne. En tant que guides et amis locaux, nous serons heureux de vous montrer l'histoire et les lieux locaux de notre ville natale ! Salernum a été fondée par les Romains au IIe siècle av. À cette époque, Salerne était l'une des villes les plus importantes de la mer Méditerranée, ici a été fondée la première école de médecine du monde vers la fin du 9ème siècle après JC. Ensemble, nous découvrirons l'histoire et l'architecture de l'époque médiévale avec une visite de la cathédrale Saint-Matthieu, un exemple spectaculaire de l'architecture arabo-normande. Cette église contient également une belle crypte de style baroque. Nous serons également ravis de vous donner quelques conseils où manger local et où aller boire un verre de vin dans des lieux authentiques. C'est une excellente visite également pour une introduction et une orientation de toutes les beautés de la côte amalfitaine, de Paestum, de l'île de Capri, de Pompéi, etc.

Dans cette visite, nous verrons le centre historique de Salerne. Nous visiterons les jardins publics, les places les plus importantes du centre historique (Piazza Sedile del Campo, Piazza Abate Conforti, Piazza Flavio Gioia), les bâtiments lombardes et normands, le complexe monumental de Saint-Pierre, la cathédrale Saint-Matthieu et son baroque crypte. Sur demande, vous pouvez visiter les jardins de Minerve, le château médiéval, le musée diocésain et le musée archéologique

Beautiful old city that is overlooked. Roberto is friendly and knowledgable. We learnt so much and it was fun for a few hours before dinner. The history is there if you go looking, but not commonly discussed . Not touristy at all, but enjoyable learning experience.
