Mariam, la fille du roi Ashot I, a promis de construire 30 églises en l'honneur de son défunt mari. Elle a tenu sa promesse toute sa vie. L'une d'elles, Sevanavank, a été construite en 874. Fondée au 4ème siècle, Sevanavank a connu son développement au 9ème siècle. Outre les deux églises debout, le khatchkar unique du XVIIe siècle, avec ses nombreuses scènes bibliques, mérite une attention particulière. Le nom de la capitale, Erevan, a été enregistré pour la première fois sur le dôme de Sevanavank.
Un pays des merveilles hivernal. Tsaghkadzor se transforme en un paradis hivernal lorsque la neige recouvre le paysage. Les amateurs de ski se réjouiront des pistes bien équipées du mont Teghenis, proposant des pistes pour tous les niveaux. Le snowboard, la luge et la motoneige sont également des activités populaires, garantissant un plaisir hivernal sans fin.
Niché au milieu des montagnes pittoresques de Tsaghkadzor, en Arménie, se trouve l'ancien monastère de Kecharis, un site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO et un témoignage du riche patrimoine culturel et religieux du pays. Datant des XIe et XIIIe siècles, Kecharis n'était pas seulement un lieu de culte ; c'était un centre prospère d'apprentissage et d'éducation. Inauguré en 1967, le téléphérique de Tsaghkadzor vous emmène dans un voyage de 32 minutes sur le versant oriental du mont Teghenis. Absolutely fantastic tour! I highly recommend it, especially if you're visiting during the winter and want to experience some snow. The tour began at Lake Sevan and included a stop at a monastery (I can’t remember the name) where you’ll need to climb 200 stairs, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. If you prefer to spend more time in Tsaghkadzor, I’d suggest booking a private tour instead. With this group tour, you’ll only have about an hour and a half to explore the winter wonderland.

I had an amazing time on the tour. Our guide, Hasmik, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She provided excellent explanations of the attractions and made the experience even better. Norik, our driver, was great as well, always punctual and made sure we felt safe throughout the trip. The bus was spacious, comfortably fitting 10-12 passengers. The attractions they selected were top-notch, and I’d highly recommend this tour to everyone.
