This was such a great experience. Our guide Javier knew about trees, berries, birds, bugs, hiking trails, weather changes, and was a delightful person to boot. We only had a couple of days in Denali and this really enhanced our appreciation for the park in ways we would never have understood otherwise.
Eric was a charming, knowledgeable guide who brings passion and enthusiasm to his work. We learned a lot on our easy stroll through the boreal forest. The knowledge enabled me to enjoy my afternoon hike much more.
They’re very nice relaxed tour, no rushing, didn’t break a sweat, nice weather, beautiful scenery and informative!
This was such a tranquil & highly informative walk through the Boreal Forest within Denali Park. I loved everything about it. There were only 4 of us in the group which was really nice because it made it more personal & gave us each the opportunity to connect with our super knowledgable, stellar guide, Eric. He chose to walk us through the Nanana River Trail. All along the way Eric would stop to show & tell us about the various plants, trees, forest animals-how & why they leave their markings on trees & plants. How everything in nature is interdependent & constantly trying to achieve homeostasis….so cool! I guarantee you will not regret experiencing this interpretive tour. Eric was very knowledgeable about the Alaskan wilderness as well as personable. Exactly what I want in a guide. I enjoyed the hike and the discussion our small group had throughout. Wonderful way to get out into nature in Alaska!
Take this excursion if you want to learn and appreciate the Denali wildlife and nature. Our guide Alex was amazing! True to form, it was a windy and rainy day. We still went and I’m glad we did. We were provided rain pants and walking poles. Alex provided us so much information. What an expert! I was a bit nervous as I’m 61 and a bit out of shape. If I can do this anyone can do this. Be prepared to walk about 4 miles. I would do this again!
We had and amazing time on this naturalist walk. Andy is an extremely knowledgeable guide. He pointed out so many plants and other interesting finds on our walk. He is well-read and knows the flora and fauna of the area. We found lots of moose hairs and even saw a goshawk as it flew away with a meal. The hike was easy and at a perfect pace. If you want to learn about the area's plants and animals, this is the perfect walking tour. It was well-worth the cost of the tour and we would definitely do it again!
Javier was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable throughout the hike and just a great guide to spend time with.
We consider our walking tour today to be one of the best tours we have taken over the past ten years. Our tour guide, Alex Norris, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable with his expertise of the Alaskan Backcountry. We are sorry that we’re leaving tomorrow because we would definitely book another tour. We are leaving Alaska very happy to have had this experience. Doug and Virginia Aitken West Chester, Pennsylvania
Interesting walk and fun facts were provided. Javier did a great job tying our interests into the Commentary on the plants ands animals we saw and discussed.
