Excursion privée d'une journée à Delphes au départ d'Athènes

Loved loved loved it. Picked up (on time!) at 7am outside my hotel in a lovely air conditioned, cream leather, spotlessly clean car by George, (see photo - previously reviews don’t show a guide/car and I thought that was important) every time I stepped out of the car he would run round to hold the door open. I felt like the Queen of England. Really lovely smooth drive with commentary on the way, clear instructions and tips at Delphi (go to the site first as it’s early and cooler and the museum afterwards as that’s air conditioned) this was a great tip as it was hitting 40c at 9.30am. I messaged George once I was out of the museum and seconds later he was at the bottom of the steps to whisk me away with bottles of ice cold water from his cooler handed out. Lunch Omg I don’t think I’ve ever had a more amazing lunch and I’ve eaten at Michelin starred restaurants around the world - in fact l cancelled my Michelin starred Athens restaurants as nothing would meet the standard of that restaurant The view over the valley of olive trees out to sea, the BEST table, the starter of hot bread and salty black olive paste, home made lemonade, potatoes, aubergine and feta cheese with the most amazing grilled toast followed by fresh fruit on the house. Back to Athens and a wonderful day. Thank you George for one of the best trips of my life. Don’t hesitate!!

Visiting Athens for 3 nights and wanted to see Delphi during our stay which meant we were really squeezed for time. Opted for the luxury option of hiring a private car so that we could make the list of the experience. We are very glad we did. This trip allowed us to get to Delphi early, avoid the hottest part of the day but more importantly avoid the hoards arriving in coaches. Delphi was beautifully quiet and relaxing during our visit. As we were leaving, the crowds were arriving. The trip itself was lovely. Nikos, our driver was very charming and knowledgeable and gave us a running commentary on history of Delphi, Ancient Greece and of the areas we passed en route as well as a wider commentary on interesting Greek facts. We stopped twice before Delphi. Once for a bathroom / coffee break and once to take in a beautiful scenic view of the valley.  After Delphi Nikos picked us up Right outside the museum and brought us to a restaurant with quite a stunning view of the Delphi olive groves running to the sea. The food was local and the staff friendly. The car was on time, clean and air conditioned. Water was provided and we were able to eat our packed lunches (I was worried this would be verboten). Nikos even told us to leave our rubbish at the end and he dealt with it. Nikos had us back in Athens in time for a rest before our evening stroll and dinner. This isn’t the cheapest option but was the right one for us, as time was our most precious commodity. You get what you pay for and we got as good a Delphi day trip as was possible.

This was an excellent one day excursion to see the ancient site of Delphi and enjoy lunch in the hillside town. Christos was an excellent driver and guide. He was very relaxed and accommodating.

The museum was pretty accessible with some dtairs up to the entrance but the ruins were not. We left the older members of our party at the cafe. It was great to have an understanding guide and private tour so we could change plans like this. The lunch and the table our guide, Nick, arranged was magnificent!

Bill was our very kind and friendly driver on our private tour to Delphi from Athens today. He gave informative commentary on the way and we all felt very much at ease with him. We were comfortable in the air conditioned van with room for 7. Seeing Delphi was incredible. I wasn’t sure my kids would be up for such a long drive but everyone felt that it was worth it. He then took us to an amazing lunch spot with insane views and they were so great with our food allergies (nuts, legumes, seeds). Highly recommend!

We did an all day tour to Delphi from Athens. Our tour guide Bill was very kind, knowledgeable and prompt. He also took us to the best lunch spot after we visited Delphi with an amazing view and great Greek food after a hot day at the archeological site. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a full day activity from Athens.

Nikos was excellent in every way- informative, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. He provided historical insights and enabled us to enjoy a fantastic lunch with a breathtaking view.

George was wonderful and very knowledgeable and kind. We were surprised that he could not accompany us as we toured Delphi but the experience overall was fantastic. And he arranged for us to have an exceptional meal with the most impressive view after we visited Delphi. Thank you George.

Our guide Christos was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and safe, and we left feeling that we made a friend. We loved our time.

Christos took us on a tour to Delphi. He shared many historical facts with us during the drive, and every moment spent with him in the car was precious. We stopped for a delicious frappé. On the way back, Christos showed us the charming town of Arachova. He's a great driver, and I recommend him to everyone! Ευχαριστώ πολύ!
