Traversez Levadia et Arachova (célèbre pour ses tapis multicolores lumineux) arrivent à Delphes. Vous visiterez l'un des sites archéologiques les plus importants de l'histoire grecque. Au pied du mont Parnassos, dans l'angle formé par les roches jumelles des Phédriades, se trouve le sanctuaire panhellénique de Delphes, qui possédait le plus célèbre Oracle de la Grèce antique. Delphes était considérée comme le centre du monde. Selon la mythologie, c'est ici que les deux aigles envoyés par Zeus des extrémités de l'univers pour trouver le nombril du monde se sont rencontrés. Le sanctuaire de Delphes, situé dans un paysage des plus spectaculaires, a été pendant de nombreux siècles le centre culturel et religieux et le symbole de l'unité pour le monde hellénique et le siège des Jeux pythiques, les deuxièmes jeux les plus importants en Grèce après les Jeux olympiques, qui avaient lieu tous les quatre ans.

Il a été délivré par la Pythie, la prêtresse, et interprété par les prêtres d'Apollon. Les villes, les dirigeants et les individus ordinaires ont consulté l'oracle, exprimant leur gratitude avec de grands dons et répandant sa renommée dans le monde entier. On pensait que l'oracle existait depuis la nuit des temps. En effet, on croyait avoir prédit avec succès les événements liés au cataclysme de Deukalion, à l’expédition de l’Argonaute et à la guerre de Troie.
Visite du site archéologique et du Musée où l'on peut voir entre autres trésors archéologiques, l'unique statue en bronze du Charioteer dédiée à Apollon par Polyzalos, le tyran de Gela, en 478 av. J.-C. lorsqu'il remporta la course de chars aux Jeux Pythiques. Cette statue incomparable est un exemple représentatif du style attique « sévère », certainement l’œuvre d’un artiste majeur.

Great day out and our guide Joy was exceptional and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. I probably would have loved a more local lunch than an hotel lunch.
First, decide carefully where you want to be picked up. From my neighborhood, Psyrri, it was an hour on bus before we even began the tour. Additionally it was very difficult to find food at that hour. I finally found some but the bus driver said, “No food on the bus.” Not a good start. Traffic was bad so I ended up being on the bus for 4 hours before reaching Delphi, instead of the expected 2 hours. Unbeknownst to me, the tour was bi-lingual (English/French). I didn’t sign up for that. In fact, I remember it specifically saying an English-speaking guide. It resulted in almost non-stop narration. First English and then rolling right in to French. I understand a bit of French, so it was very repetitive. Delphi was extremely hot, with dusty wind gusts. Part of the ruins were closed due to weather. I missed have of the tour because of the extreme heat. The museum was terrific, but the dual language narration was again a problem and didn’t leave much room for questions. The guide was warm and well-informed. The advertised “4-course meal” was abysmal. Food was not good. We were seated in an empty dining room at table for 4. One man had to eat by himself. The other 2 tables had people who had no common language. Awkward. The last stop at the ski-town was worthless. Most shops were closed. I was given incorrect directions to the view. I realize some of the problem were out of control of the tour group. But, for me, it as a thoroughly exhausting and disappointing day. Not how I wanted to spend my last day in Athens.

We would like to clarify that the tour operated according to the advertised itinerary, with the pickup arrangements, driving times, and meal details clearly stated in the tour information. Traffic conditions can unfortunately affect travel times, particularly during the busy summer season, and are beyond our control. Regarding food and drinks, these are not permitted on our coaches as we need to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all passengers and avoid food smells during the journey. The bilingual English/French format is also indicated in the tour information when applicable. While we understand that the dual-language commentary may have felt repetitive, our guides provide the same information to both language groups. Delphi is an incredible archaeological site, but the exceptionally hot weather on the day of your visit, as well as the temporary closure of parts of the site due to weather conditions, were circumstances beyond our control. We are nevertheless pleased that you found our guide warm and well-informed and enjoyed the museum. We regret that the meal and final stop did not meet your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and will share your comments with our local partners. Anastasia was lovely. Very informative, very friendly and really knew her history. It was also a great way to see life outside of Athens. The countryside/mountains of Greece was beautiful.
Very organized. A nice way to travel without worrying about getting there on our own. Wonderful guide. So informative. It was super hot but Greece in the summer always is! For sure recommend!
Our tour to the Temple of Apollo in Delphi was absolutely incredible, all thanks to our fantastic guide, Xenia. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, weaving history and Greek mythology together in a way that truly made the ancient ruins come alive. Beyond her impressive depth of expertise, Xenia was incredibly helpful, attentive, and welcoming throughout the entire day, ensuring everyone had a seamless and memorable experience. Pick up and drop off were on time. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was excellent, and it included lunch
This was a well organized trip. We got picked up on time and taken to another location where we waited for others to join us. We rode in a full size bus but there wasn’t many of us. Our guide gave us a lot of information on the way. We had a snack stop about 2/3 into the trip. The ride was nice. I didn’t realize that it was going to be in two languages so she would speak in English and then again in French. Then when we arrived to Delphi, she took us into the site. It was quite hot by then and speaking in two languages became a bit of an issue because it meant that every time she stopped to talk it took twice as long to deliver the information. We weren’t given enough time to see the whole site. We had to rush to the top to see the stadium then rush back to get to the museum in time for her tour of the museum. Every part of this was good, it was just the timing because of the double description of everything that was tiring. Then we opted out of the lunch and were left in town to find food. We found a cute place but had to rush for a pick up which they were 10 minutes late for. It would have been nice to have a little more time in town. Then we made a quick photo stop outside the city to get a picture- you don’t stop in town like the itinerary suggests. Then back to Athens with one more stop for a bathroom break.
This was an awesome experience, and we highly recommend this tour if you want to get out of Athens, and learn something new! The guide was great.
This was a very long trip but the drive to Delphi was wonderful, alot of historical sights to see along the way which our guide made sure to point out. Delphi was breath taking. The climb up to the temple of Apollo, ancient theater and other sights is a must see. Only downside was that the museum tour felt slightly rushed and we didn't get alot of time to view all the exhibits. The four course meal afterwards was delious.
