We just returned from an incredible day trip through Slovenia and couldn't be happier with the experience. Our guide Verdana was absolutely amazing — helpful, caring, and incredibly responsible. She kept everything running smoothly and on time, which made the entire trip stress-free and a whole lot of fun. From start to finish, Verdana made sure we had an unforgettable experience. Her warmth and professionalism really stood out, and it's clear she genuinely cares about her guests. I highly recommend this company, and if you get the chance to have Verdana as your guide — consider yourself lucky. Thank you, Verdana!
The driver was a little late which is not a big deal. However to make up the time the driver was speeding at unsafe levels. Once we arrived at the destination information and sights were excellent.
Our driver Mario was very good, the van was clean and comfortable, they picked us up without delay. The tour guide in Ljubljana was smiling and competent. We didn't have a tour at the lake, but with Mario's instructions we enjoyed our day there too.
It was the most fantastic experience of my trip. Lake Bled is a spectacle of nature. The guide Misla was perfect and met all our needs. I recommend esee tour for those who visit Croatia from Zagreb.
I loved it, fabulous! Everything was very well organized, the driver was super nice. The sites are very beautiful.
Beware this tour says 11 hrs but ours was 14 hrs. Some may think that’s good value for money but in reality it was exhausting. We were picked up between 7.30-8am and picked up a couple more people at different hotels before heading out of Zagreb around 8.15am. It was a 2 hr journey to Ljubljana and we stopped at some services for a restroom break en-route. We arrived at our meeting point for the included walking tour at 10am only to be told the guide had been caught in traffic and to go back at 10.30am. After a quick coffee stop we headed back to find a large group of people already there and the guide well into his spiel. Didn’t even catch his name! He then proceeded to race around Ljubljana for the next 2 hours (because he was late and had to make up 1/2 hr) without once waiting for the group to catch up before he launched into his descriptive at each stop. Luckily I’ve been to Ljubljana before so I had the gist of most things anyway. Once the walking tour ended we had free time to ourselves before heading to our meeting point for our next stop of Lake Bled. Luckily we had the same driver and there were only 5 of us heading there so we had plenty of room on the minibus 👍👍👍 We arrived in Lake Bled around 3pm and were taken straight to the castle where we had around 45 mins to explore. Not the most dramatic of castles but absolutely stunning views from the top; especially when the sun finally poked its head out! 🌞 Next stop was the boat trip over to the island which was about an hour in total. Note there is an entrance fee of €12 to go into the church on the island. It’s totally against my religion to pay to go in any church anywhere in the world and this one certainly wasn’t going to change anything. Once we got back to shore we were dropped at the next spot for 30 mins to have a wander along the waters edge before heading back to Ljubljana around 6.30pm. Now this is where the tour became tedious. We arrived back in Ljubljana around 7.15pm and then had to wait 45 minutes for another bus to arrive with the other people from Zagreb who had been on a different tour thus not departing Ljubljana till after 8pm and finally arriving back at the hotel gone 10pm. Whilst the driver done his best to get us back as soon as he could there really needs to be a different approach so people aren’t waiting on other people to travel back to Zagreb. If the tour is in excess of 11hrs then it really should be advertised as such…..
Very nice experience and tour driver was very good and all went very good but took a lot of time around 15 hours approx
They asked our group to split up between two cars. We told them that would be ok if we could travel the day together and be at the stops throughout the day together. They said this would happen, but it did not. 3 of our group were driven by what seems to be a contracted employee from another company. He drove through the wrong lane at the border so these three were held up for over an hour. Their passports were taken and it was a bit tense especially when they compared their border crossing experience to the other people in our group. We communicated their delay to our guide Vera and she said she would be in contact with them but it really never got worked out. They ended up missing the Ljubljana guided tour (we've been "refunded" for this $10 per person) and were constantly 30 minutes behind us for Lake Bled experiences. They also had to go back by Ljubljana to drop people off before they were able to return to our accommodations in Zagreb. This all would have been better if we could have just stayed together instead of being split up. On a separate note/instance the driver for our group of 3 made inappropriate inquiries about the sexual orientation of one of the members of our group. Again, we were offered a $10 per person refund, but compared to the total price of the tour this is not a significant way to make this better.
An excellent tour in all aspects! The guides were both amazing! Very organised, informative and the guides were helpful in everything anyone needed! Thank you guys, totally worth it!
Thank you for your excellent feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour and that both guides made the experience smooth, informative, and supportive throughout. We really appreciate your kind words and are happy to hear it was totally worth it!
Excellent tour, highly recommend. Coordinated effort with 3 different guides who were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I only speak English but no problems communicating. Ljubljana is beautiful. Stay with walking tour or leave for shopping, food, boat ride or castle tour. For tourists not used to paying for toilets, they are free under each bridge. Recommend getting option for prepaid fees for Bled boat ride to island and castle, 20 Euros each otherwise (but both worthwhile). I didn't pay to go inside church on the island but if you stop at the promenade, st Marks church is free to enter. Its a long day, 730 to 830pm, to make the most of daylight at the destination so expect to return after dark and need to hunt for late dinner.
Thank you for your detailed and helpful feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour, found the guides friendly and knowledgeable, and had no issues communicating throughout the day. It’s great to hear you were able to enjoy Ljubljana and Lake Bled at your own pace and make the most of the experience. We also appreciate your practical tips for future travelers regarding optional entrance fees, timing, and planning for a long day—this kind of insight is very valuable for others considering the tour.
