E-tickets received in good time and instructions on where to meet. Name of tour provider not immediately clear which caused some confusion but we soon resolved that. Good boat, with bathroom facilities. Enjoyed the glass blowing display but left very little time to explore Murano. Had more time in Burano which is a very pretty island. Final stop was Torcello, this was our favourite island as so picturesque and a lot of history but regrettably there wasn’t time to go into the museum and explore this further. Overall, a good day but could have been improved
It is definitely worth visiting the Islands, especially Murano and Burano. In addition to the beauty of the islands themselves, the craftsmanship in blown glass and the embroidery takes your breath away.
On the day we had booked, the weather was awful (pouring rain, wind and quite cold), but being British we still went. Burano was lovely to wander around. Get off the main street and wander around the side streets/canals. Very pretty. We were taken to a shop for a lace making demonstration, but that lasted less than 5 minutes before they launched into a sales pitch (although not high pressure). Given longer, it would have been good to visit the Lace Museum. Next we spent just over an hour on Torcello. Unfortunately there was a lot of scaffolding in the church as under restoration, and the weather was awful, so we spent most of the time in a lovely little canalside cafe recommended by our guide, which had some resident cats looking for a warm lap. In Murano, we had an excellent glass blowing demonstration, and there was no selling, although there was a showroom/shop to look round. Other than a church, there is just a long street of glass shops to meander round, but not on a cold, wet day!
Great experience in the boat. Guides are great and speak many languages. Murano is very interesting and will require more than 1 hour to seeing glasses factory and main river part. Burano is a must see. Colored house and many restaurant are very pleasant. You have enough time to enjoy a lunch and chill. Torcello is useless. Nothing much to see. I tried to visit the basilica but everything was under construction and they charged me 16 euros for the family. That’s a scam ! So in conclusion spend time in Murano Burano and enjoy the trip.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the boat experience, our multilingual guides, and the beauty of Murano and Burano. The time on the islands is designed to provide an overview of each place. Torcello offers a quieter, historical perspective of the lagoon. We hope to welcome you on board again for another experience in the Venetian Lagoon.
Brilliant full day, lots of time to explore 3 very different and very beautiful places Educational, fun, great experience
An amazing time overall, a little more time at murano would have been good but please ignore comments about Torcello being pointless, here I Visited two museums and a church, all islands had lots to offer and for the price I would definitely recommend! Staff friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had an amazing time exploring the islands and enjoyed the museums and church visits. We appreciate your kind words about our staff—they’ll be delighted to hear this! Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for even more time to discover the venetian islands.
Too much time spent at the first glass shop which we were ushered to after the glass demo coming off the boat. if i knew there was a lot more glass shop outside i would just gone right outside and explored the beautiful Murano Island. definitely worth spending more time there, Burano was vey pretty with their coloful houses, Torcello was not worth spending time there. Lunch stop would been much better in Murano. Really loved Murano once we discovered there was an outside the glass shop..... ahhhhh. Really recomend Murano and Burano.
Thank you for your review! We're sorry you couldn't spend as much time you wished in Murano: we offer the visit in the glass factory and then you have free time on the island, you are not forced to stay in the shop. We're glad you enjoyed the colorful Burano. We hope to welcome you back soon to explore even more of the wonders of the Venetian lagoon!
Very difficult to find the right boat. The boat personnel were not helpful. The guide tells loudly in 5-6 languages everything you see while riding the boat and it is non-stop loud chatter. Glass demonstration was very brief and few techniques were described. We don’t recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced finding the boat; please know that we are always reachable by phone to assist in such cases. Regarding the glass demonstration, it is designed to provide a general overview of the art, taking into account the limited time available during the stop on the island. We appreciate your comments and hope to improve our service.
Very disappointing and was a waste of time. Spoke with others that said the same thing. "Tour" was only on the boat and Torcello was absolutely a waste of time. NOTHING TO SEE. Everyone was waiting for the boat at least 30 minutes before meeting time. Too much time in Burano and rushed in Morano. Boats were changed so you didn't know if you were on the right one, especially since our "tour guide" did not stay for the whole trip.
We're sorry you didn't enjoy the experience with us. The stop times at the islands are designed to give a general overview of the places visited and to allow guests to appreciate their unique features. It is not stated that the boat remains the same throughout the trip, but the boarding and disembarking point for passengers remains the same. We thank you and appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration.
Was not a well organised tour.. Time at Murano was limited.. Too much time at Burano where there was really nothing to do.. Would have been happy to spend more time at Murano rather than Burano.. Torcello was a total waste of time as there was really nothing there to see..
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. The timings on the islands are planned to provide a general overview of each location, highlighting their unique features. However, we understand that perception of time can be subjective. We appreciate your comments.
