Notre croisière d'une journée dans le fascinant pays de l'Albanie s'adresse aux voyageurs aventureux à la recherche de quelque chose d'extraordinaire. Du port de Corfou, nous longeons la côte albanaise jusqu'au port de Saranda. Une visite guidée en autocar de 20 km des rives vierges et des îles dispersées de la côte sud est disponible. Nous passons devant de petits villages pittoresques et des plaines fertiles sans fin qui mènent à un grand lac. Le point culminant de votre journée sera la visite de Butrint, un site classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Au fil des siècles, la ville antique avait disparu sous les couches de limon et de végétation. Ces dernières années, cependant, les archéologues ont mis au jour certains des plus beaux vestiges de villes en activité en Méditerranée. La Tour Vénitienne près de l'entrée, le théâtre antique, le temple d'Asclépios, l'ancien gymnase, les thermes romains, le baptistère romain avec son inestimable sol en mosaïque, la porte du Lion et les énormes murs cyclopéens vous transporteront dans le temps de 2500 ans jusqu'au IIIe siècle.(FACULTATIF)

Arrivée au port principal d'Albanie (Saranda). Contrôle des passeports et embarquement dans les autocars
Courte pause-café dans la ville de Saranda
Arrivée à la zone archéologique de Butrint. La visite dure entre 90 et 110 minutes selon l'âge. La visite pour les personnes âgées ou handicapées comprendra 70 % de la zone archéologique (avec un guide séparé si nécessaire). Il y a un petit bar/kiosque à l'entrée du site. Des toilettes publiques sont disponibles à la fin de la visite dans le château vénitien sur la colline de l'Acropole.

Veuillez noter qu'en raison des installations limitées de contrôle des passeports et des douanes et du manque de personnel pour le contrôle des passeports, il pourrait y avoir un retard dans le processus de contrôle au port de Corfou, de 30 à 90 minutes à l'arrivée ou au départ pour tous les itinéraires d'été. Notre société assure les transferts en autocar depuis et vers l'hôtel et le principal port de Corfou. La durée du transfert en autocar dépend de l'emplacement de votre hôtel (de 20' à 120', environ). Veuillez être au point de rendez-vous au moins 5 minutes à l'avance et recherchez le bus avec un panneau Croisières Ioniennes. Le numéro de téléphone du service clientèle de Corfou Croisières est disponible pour le transfert en autocar du matin. Veuillez noter que notre compagnie assure le transfert depuis San George-Pagi (Nord) tous les mercredis, jeudis et dimanches. Départ du port à 8h45. Embarquement de 7h40 à 8h20. Fermeture du terminal à 8h30. S'il vous plaît être au port au moins 40 minutes avant l'heure prévue de départ du bateau si vous n'avez pas réservé une prise en charge. L'heure de départ peut être légèrement modifiée en fonction des conditions de circulation locales.

Knowledgeable guides (available in multiple languages), well-planned itinerary, the lunch is a bit light on protein for non meat eaters but I still left full :) Saranda isn't too interesting but Butrinti was excellent, totally worth it!
I really enjoyed all the information and looking at the ruins. Although disapointed not to see the big mosaics advertised in the description of the trip and my main purpose in going. The lunch was a buffet style and Although it was good I expected something traditional. As for the time left to look around Sarandra, we found it to be pointless unless you want more food and drink we saw two shops selling junk items, and we did walk up and down the tiered streets as recommended. Would not do again unfortunately.

The day was very well organised. We opted for the pick up which was prompt, professional and comfortable. When we arrived at the port, we were clearly directed as to where we should be and what to do, there were plenty of staff to assist. The boat was comfortable and the journey to Sarandë took about 1 hr 15 minutes, it was very smooth for most of it, around 10 minutes on the approach to Sarande was a little choppy. Once we arrived, we were professionally guided to the correct coach by language and greeted by our guide who stayed with us for the remainder of the day. He gave us great information as we toured the site of Butrint which was amazing. If you are unsteady in your feet the paths here can be a little difficult, there were some people with strollers on our tour and I think it was very hard for them. The included lunch was really good and in a nice location, we then returned to Sarande for around an hour of free time before heading back to Corfú. We were are party of 3 - couple of 55 and one 70+ year old - and we all had a great day and thought it to be exceptionally good value.

From our hotel in Messonghi, 50 minutes by coach to reach the city of Corfu departure from the boat. Then 50 minutes by boat to Albania where we discover the city of Saranda: concrete and buildings. The guide offers us from the arrival a break in a bar-restaurant (10 minutes by bus) to rest 30 minutes 🙄... And we leave by coach to the site of Butrint (35 minutes by bus), although classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site but where visitors are free to walk anywhere, no limits or protection!? The site is of little interest to us... ruins, mosaics that are on the guides but not visible because covered with sand to protect them. Then back to the restaurant included in the price of the exit (35mn bus), a simple buffet with apple for dessert 🥴. Re-bus (20 minutes) towards the castle Lekuresi where we are offered a 15 minutes stop for the view + photo, we take the bus (20 minutes) for a free time in Saranda 50 minutes but not much to see, new constructions, bars, restaurants and few shops... Finally: Back, it's gone for 1 hour boat to Corfu and 50 minutes bus to the hotel... balance 5h30 transport..😕 It may be worth visiting Butrint if you are already in Albania, but the excursion from Corfu is disappointing...

Enfin, la visite du parc national de Butrint avec notre compagnie est toujours guidée : nos clients sont accompagnés par un guide local certifié pendant toute la durée de la visite. Nous sommes sincèrement désolés que votre expérience en Albanie avec une autre compagnie n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Ce pays offre pourtant de nombreux sites historiques, musées, villages traditionnels et lieux propices à la détente et à la découverte. Pretty organized and a well planned day to Sarande and Butrint. So many of the ruins are still standing and in decent shape. Bus driver managed to navigate a difficult detour due to construction. Lunch was delicious and included in my package.
