When they say you will be touring in "an air conditioned coach", they mean is the ac will b turned on after u enter for the 10 minute ride to the old town and back....not that you will use it to tour. The entire 3 hour tour (yes, you pay over 150.00 USD for a 3 hour tour, in our case by a very young woman who had to read her notes. She then dumped us at a corner and said the van would be back to pick us up in 3 hours. We thought we might then get a little bus tour but it was only a ride back to the ferry in a very hot van. I nicknamed this tour "How to waste a day of your precious time in Finland."
The ferry is a very unique experience if you haven't been on a huge cruise liner before, but it gets boring after a while so bring something to keep you occupied for the entire duration (5h to and fro). Once we were in Tallinn, our guide Sergei was extremely knowledgeable, jovial and in general, made the 2 hour walking tour a very enjoyable and engaging experience. We had free time from 2:30 PM to 4:55 PM. If you are quick to have lunch and get some souvenirs, you will still have over an hour available which you will need to kill some way. Be prepared.
This tour was an excellent introduction to Tallinn, Estonia, and one of the highlights of my trip to Finland. The ferry ride from Helsinki was comfortable and efficient, making it remarkably easy to visit another country for the day. Once in Tallinn, our guide brought the city’s fascinating history to life as we explored its beautifully preserved UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town. Walking through the cobblestone streets felt like stepping back into the Middle Ages, surrounded by Gothic churches, medieval merchant houses, ancient city walls, and defensive towers. The guide shared interesting stories about Estonia’s history, the Hanseatic League, and how Tallinn has evolved into the vibrant capital it is today. The itinerary was well paced, with a great balance of guided sightseeing and free time to wander the charming streets, browse local shops, enjoy lunch, and take plenty of photos. Despite being a day trip, I never felt rushed and came away feeling that I had experienced the very best of Tallinn’s historic center. Transportation was seamless from start to finish, and everything was well organized. If you’re visiting Helsinki, I highly recommend taking this tour. It’s an effortless way to experience two Nordic-Baltic capitals in one trip and discover one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities. It was an unforgettable experience that left me wanting to return and spend even more time exploring Estonia.

If you like about history and medieval architecture, you may like this tour. Finlandia ferry is great, it is like an entertainment place with bar, shopping area, children's play area.
An excellent day trip from Helsinki to a special little city. Great ferry and well paced interesting walking tour of the old town with Anastasia.
Excellent tour, unfortunately weather was not good, it drizzled most of the time. Should include pickup and return.
Dear Ivan, Thank you for your booking and for your high rating of our tour. Transfers to and from the port in Helsinki are not included in the price in order not to make our tour too expensive and to leave guests free to choose how much they want to spend on transport and what kind of transport they prefer. The port is easy and inexpensive to reach by public tram, which is very good, clean, modern, and also adds to the overall impression of Helsinki. Some guests prefer to walk, while those who want to get there quickly and with minimum effort can simply take a taxi. In Helsinki this is very easy: Uber works there, you order it from your phone, and it takes you directly to the port. Our tour is suitable for travelling in any weather. Our guides always try to choose places where guests can stand comfortably and avoid the rain as much as possible during the tour. Also, heavy rain in our region usually does not last long; if the rain lasts longer, it is normally very light. We wish you many wonderful trips in the future. Best regards, Dmitry
Our tour guide gave wonderful personal experience of how the country has changed since gaining independence.
Such great communication about ferry and so no problems at all getting there from Helsinki. Our guide Renau (sp ?). Provided more than just information about Tallin and the sites and about the country, he gave us first hand stories of what it was like during era of Soviet oppression. The tour was alive and meaningful. There was a perfect balance if your and free time, great recommendations for meals and such and such attentiveness and caring for group. It is definitely worth adding a day to your time in Helsinki just to get to Tallinn for this tour. Tallinn itself is absolutely beautiful.
The tour was good and very interesting. There were times when we couldn’t hear the guide when he was speaking. Ear buds would have helped. We did not think it was good for the guide to leave us on our own for two hours after the tour was over.
