Randonnée d'une journée à la montagne Simien
Description
Ce programme propose des randonnées difficiles mais extrêmement enrichissantes le long de la crête qui tombe à pic dans les plaines bien en dessous. Ce n'est pas seulement le paysage (et l'altitude) qui vous laissera sans voix, mais aussi l'excitation de vous asseoir parmi un groupe de singes gelada, ou de regarder une magnifique joute de bouquetins walia sur des corniches rocheuses.

Itinéraire
Nous vous rencontrerons le matin à l'aéroport de Gondar ou à votre hôtel à Gondar. Conduisez de Gondar à Debark, qui est le siège du parc national. Nous nous arrêterons ici pour obtenir la permission d'entrer dans le parc et rencontrer le scout. Nous prendrons une pause thé et café et visiterons le marché local si nous en avons le temps. Le marché local est ouvert tous les jours, et chaque mercredi et samedi est le grand jour de marché. De la ville de Debark, nous nous dirigerons vers la porte du parc, qui est à environ 16 km de la ville. Ensuite, nous nous dirigeons à environ 6 km vers Buit Ras, la première zone du parc national. De Buit Ras, nous marcherons pendant environ 3, 4 heures jusqu'à Chilkuwanit qui est l'un des plus beaux points de vue. Cette zone offre une vue imprenable sur l'escarpement tombant verticalement. Vous rencontrerez très certainement des troupes des babouins Gelada endémiques et les verrez de près. Vous pouvez également voir du chacal commun, du klipspringer et plus encore. Il y a beaucoup d'oiseaux tels que le corbeau à bec épais, le buzard d'Agar, le milan noir, le mammifère et différentes espèces de plantes telles que la rose d'Abyssinie, l'arbre Erica Arboria, les espèces d'Euphorbia, le millepertuis (Hypercumrevoltum) et ainsi de suite. Notre voiture viendra vous chercher à Chilkuwanit et conduira à Gondar

Due to the conflict in Amhara region, this tour as not possible in the natural park. And I understand that but I should have been informed in advance in order to be able to cancel the tour without penalty. They decided to make the tour in the beginning of the mountain range which is 20-30 km from Gondar. No park fees were needed. We were back at lunch time, which means the tour provided was not full day. Lunch was also not offered, I had to pay myself. This means that I paid a very high price for tour provided. after reporting the experience, I was provided with a partial refund, which I appreciate. So I recommend tourists to get informed about the security of the region and the feasibility of conducting the tour before booking.
The mountain trip with Tevan was great. Everything was very well organized. Tevan took care of every detail, he was a great tour guide with a lot of experience, knowledge and humor. I wholeheartedly recommend trips with Tevan.
What a WONDERFUL experience it was! Booking on Viator was a breeze and after that I believe my tour was organized by Ethio Travel and Tour (ETT) via the agent Malese, but executed by Simien Eco Tours, who provided the AWD vehicle (Toyota Landcruiser), the excellent/super prudent driver and the tour guide Amare (hopefully that’s the correct spelling). From a punctual pick up at our hotel to the drive up to meet the guide (and the friendly scout) and the tour/hike itself on the mountain, everything was handled with care by the team. Amare (the guide) was very professional, caring, knowledgeable and took the whole experience to a higher level by providing an overall phenomenal service. We saw animals, hiked, had lunch across from this enormous waterfall and gained knowledge on the wildlife and other curiosities about the area and Ethiopia overall. 10/10 experience that we’ll never forget! Can’t recommend it enough!
