Chef-d'œuvre complexe de conception d'ingénierie d'irrigation, les jardins d'eau astucieusement conçus de Sigiriya ont nécessité une planification structurelle bien en avance sur son temps.
Lieu de pèlerinage sacré pendant 22 siècles, ce monastère troglodyte, avec ses cinq sanctuaires, est le complexe de temples-grottes le plus grand et le mieux conservé du Sri Lanka. Les peintures murales bouddhiques (couvrant une superficie de 2 100 m2) sont particulièrement importantes, tout comme les 157 statues.
Près de la route principale traversant Matale, le temple hindou Muthumariamman est une haute structure décorée de façon exubérante qui peut être facilement vue de loin. Les tours proéminentes, appelées Gopurams, abritent des centaines de sculptures détaillées, dans une riche mosaïque de couleurs. Ces structures Gopurams peuvent être vues dans d'autres temples hindous à travers l'île, ainsi que dans le sud de l'Inde.

I booked with this tour company because of Ms. Diviya. Before the trip, we stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Even with the 3.5-hour time difference between Japan and Sri Lanka, she was always super quick to respond and put my mind at ease. She continued to check in on me after I landed in Colombo, making my solo trip feel completely stress-free and safe. I’m deeply grateful for her warmth and exceptional hospitality. I’m also super grateful to Mr. Irfan, my private driver from Colombo to Kandy, for his wonderful hospitality and careful driving. I get motion sick easily, but he was always mindful of that, taking unpaved roads extra slow so I wouldn't feel unwell. The heat outside was brutal, but the car was always cool and clean, which made traveling and sightseeing so pleasant. Big thanks to him for stopping at local spots so I could refresh and introducing me to local Sri Lankan food!
What an amazing guide Irfan is. We had a fantastic time on his tuk tuk tour. He is very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka’s history and wildlife. He gave us lots of recommendations, including the best foods to eat during our stay. I 100% recommend Irfan to anybody wanting a fun and informative tour.

Our experience was way beyond our expectations. Guide Irfan was perfectly on time and drove very well and safely. He was very informative and his English excellent. Every part of the tour was first class. We saw over 40 elephants including babies and tusked males. Sigiriya rock was challenging but so rewarding. Bambulla Temple was also very interesting. Lunch was delicious local food. I’m looking for something I didn’t like but am unable. Also the guides for each sight were terrific, particularly the elephant park guide as he was so successful at finding so many wonderful animals.

The guide, IRFAN, was very courteous and enthusiastic and very helpful in understanding English. I was tired after climbing Sigiriya Rock, so it was great to be able to skip places to go according to our request and be flexible! There are many places to go and the time is just in time, so you need to be physically strong enough to climb Sigiriya Rock crisply. It's better to find out how much cash you need before you go, as admission is not included.
Highly recommend Irfan and this tour. He was punctual, friendly, respectful and very informative with teaching us about Sri Lankan culture, religion and various cites on the way to each site. Thoroughly enjoyed Lion Rock, Dambulla Cave Temples and the Spice Garden (amazing). A must see when in Kandy
