Le point le plus bas de la terre, au fond de la vallée du Jourdain et à 55 km au sud-est d'Amman, est la mer Morte, l'un des paysages naturels et spirituels les plus spectaculaires du monde. C'est la masse d'eau la plus basse de la terre, le point le plus bas de la terre et la source la plus riche de sels naturels au monde, cachant de merveilleux trésors qui se sont accumulés pendant des milliers d'années.
