Profitez d'un voyage privé d'une journée complète de Tirana au Kosovo, en visitant les deux villes les plus importantes : Prizren et Pristina. Vous explorerez la vieille ville de Prizren avec son pont de pierre, son bazar et ses monuments ottomans, puis vous continuerez jusqu'à Pristina pour voir le monument aux nouveau-nés, la cathédrale Mère Teresa et la célèbre bibliothèque nationale. Nous partirons de Tirana et traverserons le nord de l'Albanie, après quoi nous traverserons la frontière avec le Kosovo. Cette autoroute relativement récente reliant les deux pays est devenue un symbole du renforcement de leur connexion et de leur unité. Le paysage changera de la métropole de Tirana à des villes minières plus rurales et anciennes. Située à environ 260 kilomètres de Tirana se trouve la capitale et la plus grande ville du Kosovo : Pristina. Habité depuis l'âge de pierre ancien, de l'ancienne culture Vinča, c'est l'un des sites archéologiques et historiques les plus fascinants.
Située au cœur de Pristina, la grande bibliothèque regorge de plus de deux millions d'exemplaires de documents, dont certains remontent au XVe siècle. Son architecture est un excellent exemple du brutalisme yougoslave et une synthèse magistrale du design byzantin, ottoman et serbe, ce qui en fait un véritable microcosme de la ville. Depuis 1982, la bibliothèque sert de bibliothèque nationale du Kosovo et continue d'offrir un aperçu majestueux de son passé.
Découvrez le centre-ville animé de Pristina. Plongez dans son patrimoine culturel en admirant le monument emblématique de Newborn et la magnifique cathédrale Mère Teresa. Sa riche culture est également évidente dans ses nombreuses mosquées musulmanes anciennes, datant d'aussi loin que le 14ème siècle, donnant un aperçu de la foi pieuse de nombre de ses citoyens.
En partant de Pristina, nous nous dirigeons vers Prizren, un titre estimé de la capitale culturelle du Kosovo. Située le long de la rivière Bistrica, à l'ombre de l'intemporel château de Prizren, cette ville a été un phare de l'histoire et de la politique albanaises du XIXe siècle.
Ainsi, nous ne pouvons pas laisser passer l'occasion de visiter la Maison de la Ligue de Prizren, un monument important qui a marqué le premier effort d'indépendance et la mise en place d'un parlement et d'un gouvernement. De plus, nous pouvons nous familiariser avec la culture de la région en visitant le Musée Ethnographique installé dans la Maison de la Ligue.
Embarquez pour un voyage d'exploration authentique et visitez le célèbre "Pont de pierre de l'amour" et le bazar traditionnel de Prizren. Située autour de la majestueuse mosquée Sinan Pasha, c'est la partie la plus captivante et historiquement enrichie de Prizren. Promenez-vous dans les rues anciennes de la vieille ville et émerveillez-vous dans le bazar traditionnel coloré, où de charmants objets artisanaux et des parfumeries exquises bordent chaque coin de rue.

It's a long day but worth it. I learned a lot about the history of Kosovo and the Albanian people. Would have preferred more time in Prizren. It is far more interesting than Pristina. But it was still interesting learning about Pristina's fate during the war for independence while in the city itself.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and eager to share everything she knew. My version of the tour started in Prizen and then to Pristina. Prizen was charming and our guide was able to point out all the historic points of interest before the museum. I chose free time instead of the museum and was able to get in some shopping and a very filling lunch at a by our guide. Pristina was meaningful and a great learning experience through monuments and street art.
Great way to see two cities in Kosovo. Our guide was excellent. Prizren was our favorite of the two cities. Please bring Euro or MKD, most places don’t take a credit card.
Amazing experience that blends the history of capital city Pristina with the charm of Prizren. Xhuljano was so friendly, smart, and professional and really kept the group engaged through the long car rides. Definitely a long trip but worth it for someone looking to learn more about the Balkans and go to a different country during their stay in Albania.

It was really neat seeing Kosovo. Our guide was great and I felt like I learned a lot. However, I would have gone to Pristina first as there is less to see there and the way back from prizren is shorter. Otherwise, the day was just really long. There were a couple other items that could’ve been better — for example, the bus driver had 3 hours while in prizren and 2 hours in Pristina to fill fuel in the bus. For some reason though, he didn’t do that til we were already on the bus leaving Pristina. This just added time to the 4 hour ride back which was inefficient. Also, this tour was sold as a “small group” tour, but there were 35 of us. Weirdly, they tried to cancel on me two days before for not having enough people.

Just to kindly clarify, this was during the highest season of the year for tours, and we always try to keep our groups small, usually up to around 15 people. When numbers are higher, we normally divide guests into smaller groups with separate minibuses, but on this date there were not enough travelers to make that possible. That is also why we contacted you before the tour to offer the option to change the date or cancel, but in the end we did our best not to leave anyone out. Regarding the fuel stop, it was around 15 minutes and also allowed guests to use the bathroom or buy something from the local shop. Thank you again for joining us. It was a pretty long day, but we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Kosovo. It was amazing value for the length of the trip. Pristina was an interesting city to visit, and it was great to learn a bit about the history of the country on our walking tour. Prizren was beautiful, and it was good to have some free time to wander around. Our tour guide and driver Xhuljano was brilliant! He was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and he made the trip very enjoyable!
