Le fort d'Amer (souvent appelé aussi «Ambre») est un fort situé à Amer, dans le Rajasthan, en Inde. Le fort d'Amer, tel qu'il se présente actuellement, a été construit sur les vestiges de cette structure antérieure sous le règne de Raja Man Singh, le roi de Kachwaha d'Amber. La construction du fort a été commencée en 1592. La structure fut entièrement développée par son descendant, Jai Singh I.Ensuite, le fort d'Amer fut amélioré et agrandi par des dirigeants successifs au cours des 150 prochaines années, jusqu'à ce que les Kachwahas déplacent leur capitale à Jaipur à l'époque de Sawai Jai Singh II, en 1727 .Amer Fort est connu pour ses éléments artistiques de style hindou. Avec ses grands remparts et ses séries de portes et ses chemins pavés, le fort surplombe le lac Maota. Ce magnifique fort comprend un vaste complexe de palais construit en grès jaune pâle et rose et en marbre blanc.

Great experience. Damo drove us where we wanted and showed us the flower market. He added some explanation to the tour so that we learnt some things. He was also attentive to us during the heat pic.
