Such a fantastic experience and easily one of the highlights of my time in Puglia. The pasta-making was so much fun, and the pasta we made was absolutely incredible! The lunch was just as impressive, with beautiful, super-fresh local produce, the burrata and focaccia were particularly amazing. The setting on the family estate is gorgeous and made the whole experience feel really authentic and special. As a solo traveller, this was also such a lovely way to meet and connect with people. Sitting around the table after making our pasta, sharing an amazing lunch and some local chilled red wine with fellow travellers was a real highlight of the day. The hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating. A special thank you to Francesco, who very kindly drove me back into town after I had a transport mix-up. He really went above and beyond, and it was hugely appreciated. For the quality of the experience, the food and the hospitality, it was exceptional value for money. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puglia, and particularly to solo travellers looking for a fun, relaxed and authentic experience.
Great experience, great people, great food. The explanations where very clear, the guidance was great and the food, the cheese the wine and the company was amazing. Will do it again when we come back
You already arrive at a beautiful Masseria, with plenty of parking. After a warm welcome we could sit down at the places to make pasta. Although it seems very easy and few ingredients are needed, it was quite difficult to master it properly. But there was a good clear explanation, and if necessary you were well helped. It was also a fun activity for our 12 year old son. In between we were shown and explained how to make the sauce. After we made the pasta, we were able to sit down at the table, where we still got delicious anti pasta, and of course eventually our own made pasta. It tasted exquisite! Such a simple recipe but so incredibly tasty. We were finally given a tour of the beautiful Masseria. Truly a picture! If we come back again we will definitely consider staying here. I would definitely recommend this workshop!
The whole experience was amazing! Our teacher was so focused on making sure we were doing things correctly - exactly the kind of passion you want from a teacher! The whole setting was beautiful, the food was amazing and the burrata was the freshest I’ve ever had! One of the highlights of our trip to Puglia!
Excellent experience! This orecchiette cooking workshop is really a must-do!!! We were very well welcomed and guided in this discovery workshop on making orecchiette, which also included a demonstration of how to cook tomato sauce. Followed by a tasting meal, starting with an appetizer of focaccia, olive oil bread, burrata, and capocollo, then our orecchiette with tomato sauce, all accompanied by a local organic red wine, and finally, coffee with small almond cookies and cherry jam—truly a treat in a very friendly, shared atmosphere! Thanks to Silvia, Domenica, and the lovely young woman whose name I forgot (sorry) for the workshop and the sharing, and also to the other people who welcomed us with generosity and kindness! ❤️
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The setting was lovely, and it was great to visit a traditional masseria and learn a little about Apulian food. The lunch afterwards was delicious, with plenty of local produce to enjoy. However, the pasta-making experience wasn’t quite what we expected. With around 50 people, the group was simply too large, making it feel impersonal with lots of waiting around. The class also felt quite formal and strict. Rather than letting people learn by making mistakes, the instructors often stepped in to reshape or remake your pasta. A more relaxed, fun atmosphere would have made a big difference, especially with children taking part. It was also extremely hot. The class was held outside in the midday sun with no fans, so everyone was melting for much of the experience. The biggest concern was hygiene. We weren’t asked to wash our hands before handling the dough, and everyone’s pasta was mixed together into one large pot rather than eating what we’d made ourselves. With so many people, including young children, this didn’t feel particularly comfortable. Overall, it’s a nice cultural experience in a beautiful location, but smaller groups, a more relaxed approach, better hygiene and some cooling fans would make it far more enjoyable.
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Great fun. Lovely location and great people. The lunch was superb.... actually too much food.... but all delicious. Highly recommend.
Great experience at the Masseria. The hosts were friendly and loved experiencing the local grown food - especially the wine!
Great experience at the Masseria. Very nice people.
A perfect event to get to know the Italian and especially the local cuisine of Apulia. The hospitality was warm, and the food served to us after the workshop was excellent. Highly recommended!
