A tasting and a great Tuscan wine experience
The sommelier was excellent and much was learned! Setting in basement with old wine bottles very charming!! I wish they had served cheese and focaccia instead of meager tidbits.

Description
Votre expérience se déroulera dans une cave souterraine dotée de nombreuses salles aux voûtes en berceau en pierre qui accueillent plus de cinquante mille étiquettes différentes, le charme des salles souterraines est unique et suspendu dans une atmosphère d'autrefois. Le caviste est ouvert depuis 1965 et reste un lieu unique dans la province pour la vente de vin à Lucques. Il sera possible de découvrir l'expression du territoire toscan à travers les vins que les invités dégusteront, sélectionnés par notre Sommelier, qui contiennent l'essence de l'esprit de leurs producteurs et les appellations d'origine.

Very cool and interesting...
Very cool and interesting experience. We decided to do this last minute and were very happy that we got to try some wine and learn a lot about the regions wines.

Fabulous
Fabulous host, great company and even better wines. We were a group of 6 from all round the world. Tasted a white, an orange and 2 reds. All lovely. Our host was knowledgeable and friendly. Very informal and relaxed.

An experience not to be missed!
AMAZING experience with a well traveled knowledgeable sommelier. A lovely lady, we really appreciated her welcoming hospitality & honest approach to her experience with wine. A truly unique experience set in a cellar from the Roman times of the 2nd century! We tasted 1 white & 2 reds. Very generous measure of each wine & greatly appreciated. Just a wonderful welcoming experience, highly recommended! Thank you 🙏🏻

A pleasant wine experience
This ancient wine cellar was fascinating to see in Lucca. We enjoyed our time and tastings and met another couple there who we had an interesting time talking to. We tasted 2 local wines and a Chianti from Tuscany…all nice.

Wine tasting in central Lucca
Great to see the old underground cellar and the historic bottles of wine kept there. Lovely tasting room and 3 nice bottles of wine to try.

Disappointed
Disappointed with only 3 wines which when was point out i should of read the text below. I hace done many wine tasting over the years but did not live up to expectations. the choices we had were limited 2 red and one white no rose wine. Expensive for what we got

We kindly encourage all guests to read the full description before making a reservation, so they know exactly what they are purchasing. This is not simply a wine tasting, but an exclusive and intimate experience in a unique historic location, where the sommelier is entirely dedicated to the guests for approximately two hours, sharing not only the wines but also the history of the territory, the producers, and the local winemaking traditions. The price reflects the exclusivity of the setting, the personalized service, and the depth of the experience. While we understand that every guest has different expectations, we believe the value offered is fully consistent with what is advertised and delivered. Perfect location for a wine tasting.
We had a great time. The cellars/caves are an amazing setting for a wine tasting. The wines, the descriptions, the education was all presented in a manner to help wine novices like us understand and learn more about wine. We know what we like, but we learned how to identify things within the wine. Highly recommended!
