Miklós (Miki) Csizmadia transforms your experience to a marvelous adventure. Transported in a new luxurious van in minutes to the hidden unknown historic gem, Páty'. Literally hundreds of charming unique hobbit house cellars. This tranquil paradise is devoid of commercial tourism. Mere minutes from downtown you couumune with nature unlikely to encounter another vehicle or person. Unlocking these bespoke cellar skeleton key doors you discover wine perfected in time honored traditions. Limited production equate to most offerings only available here. Under the shade of majestic oaks and chirpping birds, we sample Bridget Bernard's distinctive approachable offerings including a not to miss rose along with local varietal whites and reds. Yet this was only the start. Miki not only educated, but patiently addressed questions mentoring our journey through Hungary's 21 +1 wine regions. We then migrated to another friend's cellar just a short stroll away. Here we are introduced to yet another renowned female winemaker, Éva Dignisz Gál's exceptional offerings that compete with the best of the best. Cserszegi Fűszeres evokes crisp bright cheer and this winemaker of the year anoited Queen of Rosé, Szigetcsép Rosé did not disappoint. Our tastings were accompanied with a curated selection of indigenous Mangalica sausages and an addictive spread, fromage and fresh bread. Onwards to Pastor Garage's bold premium balanced structured reds, then Narancsbor Orange (amber colored) sensory delights and finally the pièce de résistance, rare aged Tokaji whose magical medicinal qualities may be credited with royal centenarian's longevity. Bring family, friends and make more friends and best yet you can continue your exploration at local district IX Wine the Gap. All expectations exceeded.
Dear Kent, Woow! Probably the most beautiful review ever written during my 10+ years bringing guests to this wonderland! Thank you so much Kent! 🙏🍷❤️
Wonderful, more than expected. Very informative, relaxed and learned so much. Hungarian wine is superb, a best kept secret though Im sure the secret should be exposed.

This is a fantastic wine tour. Miki has been working in the wine industry for 25 years. He taught us a lot about Hungarian wine. All of the pours were enjoyable and some were exquisite The setting in the land of tiny wine cellars could not have been more delightful This tour has my highest recommendation
Hi Gary, Thank you for your very kind words in your review! 🙏🍾🍷❤️
If you are at all interested in wine or the stories and history around it then you will thoroughly enjoy this. Miki was brilliant and entertaining, the wine delightful.
This experience is not to be missed if you enjoy wine and are looking for a break from the city. Mickey is a wine enthusiast and has close connections with the winemakers in Hungary. His knowledge and passion for Hungarian wines was evident in each of the tastings he guided us through. The village is reminiscent of the Shire in Lord of the Rings and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The wines were excellent and Mickey provided some tasty Tapas to enjoy with our wine. Overall a great experience and one of the highlights of our trip!
Dear Diana, Thank you very much for your kind words in your review! 🍾❤️🙏🍷

Hi Trisha, Thank you very much for your kind words!
A personal look into wine making in Hungary. Tour guide had access to couple of cellars with wine tasting in each. Wine selections were varied and came with history. Very enjoyable tour and only a short ride from Budapest.
Hi Cassandra, Thank you very much for your kind words in your review! 🙏🍷
Miki our wine enthusiast guide was simply Amazing! We have done many wine tours and this tour in Paty by far was the best! Miki is so knowledgeable and made the tour fun. It was an intimate 6 people with a young couple from Finland getting engaged at the end of our tour!! Take this wine tour-you won’t regret it!
Dear Jennifer, Thank you so much for your kind words in your review! 🙏❤️🍷
Great wine and equally great food (especially the mangalicia). Excellent hosting and information about Hungarian wine from Miki. An excellent way to spend half a day close to Budapest.
