We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring the Akrotiri Peninsula with Eleni. From the moment we met her, she made our family feel completely at ease with her warmth, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm. The experience was incredible thanks to Eleni’s deep knowledge of the area. She brought each stop to life with stories, history, and local insights that we never would have discovered on our own. Her passion for Crete truly shines through. Eleni was especially thoughtful in how she engaged with all five of us—making sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and enjoying the day at their own pace. She struck the perfect balance between guiding us and giving us time to soak in the beauty around us. A truly special touch was when she brought us homemade Easter bread baked by her family—it was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that made the day even more memorable. From stunning views to cultural highlights and a delicious local lunch, everything felt seamless and personalized. More than just a guide, Eleni felt like a friend by the end of the day. We highly recommend her to anyone visiting Chania—you will be in the best hands!

Our trip got derailed by Covid and when we finally rebooked Alliki was warm, and welcoming and made sure that everything was as we wanted it. We faced a weather snafu that delayed our arrival in Crete and Alliki handled it with poise and compassion as she helped rearrange our plans and set everything right. We cannot say enough about her professionalism. We will surely recommend her to all our friends.

Roussos and Aliki made my Crete experience one of the best travels I have had. Aliki guided me to make a preliminary plan how to structure my vacation. She has been always available and sincere to make sure my needs are met and I get the most of the time available. My excursions were with Roussos. He is a native Cretan and very knowledgeable of Crete history and culture and traditions, and the social trends. Roussos has always been excited in sharing his views and opinions, and this contributed to my better understanding of the place of Crete in the modern world. Besides, he is direct, straightforward, practical, empathetic and extremely caring persona, with a wonderful sense of humor . From the first moment we met, I knew it’s going to be a positive energy time and very much indeed I was good hands. Being that was was a private Trip, he tried to improvise as we traveled along. This was my first vacation since pandemic started. Roussos quickly figured out my interests and my personality, and tried his best to adjust his schedule to show me maximum what he could given the circumstance; soon after I arrived to Crete, I had a fracture. This immediately placed a limitation on my initial plan: both Aliki and Roussos rushed to see if I was ok and took their time immediately to help me to enjoy the vacation by redesigning and recommending me what to do and what not. Basically, I felt I was with old friends rather than travel company. Their warmth, enthusiasm, contagious laughter, smiles, non stop desire to pamper me made me wish to come back soon : to see old friends. I strongly recommend Alma de Creta: even though I haven’t seen a lot of planned sites (no hiking in Samaria or hiking in the south), being with Roussos and talking to him about Crete and life in general more than compensated the above. And the last day- road trip with both Roussos and Aliki- was a perfect conclusion of my initial exploration of Crete : I will be back and also I can’t wait to show you New York! We spent two days with these folks and had an absolutely wonderful time! We spent one day with Aliki tasting wine and swimming at the beach. Our second day was with Roussos touring the mountain villages. It really was more like hanging out with friends than being on a structured tour. They very quickly figured out who we were and what we liked and tailored the days specially for us. This really is the best way to see Chania and the surrounding area. We're already planning a return trip!
